KBS 2014 tapping event threads (Mid-Atlantic)

Any idea if the other limited Founders beers kicked last night? Would love to try some BA Reds Rye

 

Not sure, I think they had a lot more of the other Founders Beers from what I heard.

On a side note Rustico Alexandria is tapping KBS tonight but expect it to be a shitshow.

 

Got to Fireworks at 5:45, was a bit too late for the KBS, but got some of the BA Reds Rye. Good stuff. Then went to Whole Foods, had some Enjoy By and others on draft, went home with a couple of friends and cracked some a couple of BA Stouts I've been sitting on, not a bad night. I like Fireworks, but when they are slammed it can be hard to get a beer.

 

Hey Pittsburgh people! House of 1000 Beers in New Kensington PA just confirmed in a tweet that they are tapping KBS, Sweet Repute, and Backwoods Bastard on 4/12/14! Can't wait!

Rustico Ballston tapped a 1/4 keg at 6, got there at 8 and they had plenty left. Two tweet from them that's it. Got two pours left by 9 and they still had some. Not crowded.

 

Went to a great Founders tasting at Woodstock Hops & Barley in Woodstock Vermont today. Sampled Founders All Day IPA, which outstanding considering the low alcohol content was, also sampled the Reds Rye, Centennial, and the awesome KBS. All on draft. Took a growler of KBS home. Matt, the owner of WH&B was very gracious as was the Founders New England rep.

Cafe Nadery tapping info for KBS TODAY:

4:30-5:00 PM tap time

approximately 70 8oz pours will be sold at $9 per pour.

Kuhnhenn A Few Shillings Too Many will also be on tap.

Mephistopheles and hopslam bottles will be in the cooler. Possibly some leftover Sweet Repute. Cigar City cans.

PM me your thoughts on the place! I run the beer and am always looking for tips to improve it.

Good luck New Yorkers. This is probably one of the best shots at KBS since the bar has been open 9 months or so and still isn't known as a beer bar.

 

I'll be heading over to Cafe Nadery around 4PM today - this might be my only shot at KBS this year (I'm going to try and hit up Draught 55 on Monday evening as well). I called yesterday and spoke to a woman working who said that it would be tapping at 4:30, which goes along with what kimjongill stated above.

 

Just learned that Good Ta Go in Chambersburg is getting a keg, they are planning on doing a tapping of KBS on 4-19-14 at 5 pm, no bottles at that store...

At Cafe Nadery right now. At most, two or three other people waiting for the tapping in 15 minutes. Looks like this one will last a bit longer than the others.

Sorry about that. Truly. It was a mistake made on the spot and I checked to make sure it was corrected. Let me know if it was not the case. The rule should have been one at a time per person. I hippie you were able to get multiple pours.
