    I hope I don't get in trouble for this post - but - ( I forget who asked me about the Las Rocas wine I pictured in one of my "haul" pics) I am having it today with a basil crusted veal portehouse chop, warm potato and arugula salad and roasted baby carrots with parsley butter. The Las Rocas is a garnacha so it has strong fruity flavor, a smooth body and a soft tannin. A touch of astringency leaves it to linger a moment in the finish and to the delight of the palate there is a soft cocoa or earthiness to the drink that adds a bit of complexity. A terrific wine.     I love Saturday =) I made it downtown and grabbed a bottle of Ommegang's Fire and Blood and as I shut the door it started to rain. Life likes me I am sure of it! And life likes you all too I am equally sure.
