I would hope so, but with the way things are these days I would not be too surprised.

Hell I'm starting to think I am going to have to bust out my Munster HS diploma to get "local" tickets in the next couple of years with the way these things are going lol...

With two weekends left before DLD wouldn't it almost have to be this Saturday or Sunday? If they wait till the 19th or 20th then there will definitely be 100+ people waiting at 7am knowing full well that its the last weekend before the festival

They don't care how many people are waiting at any time for anything. Haven't you gotten that already?

    I repeat:

Ticketmaster and whomever some MLB teams (Cubs) use both have this ability. It's really not hard. It's been used as recently as by the Seahawks to prevent people with California billing addresses from buying Seahawks NFC Championship game tickets.

^^^This. The Blues and Predators did that this year as part of their "keep the red out" campaign. They were trying to make it harder/more expensive for Blackhawks fans to go to games in St. Louis and Nashville. Unfortunately for them, there's always the secondary market.

If I had any energy to do such, I would go through the motions old school style and create bogus accounts to run up the auction prices and let the dude think he's making bank.

Alas, I'm not a 20-something DMB fanboy railing against piece of shit scalpers with nothing but time on my hands anymore.

I wish concert venues would adopt these named ticket holder policies and start shutting down the fucking scalpers. I know that Metro did it with some of the Lollapalooza after shows last year.

Of course, that would stop Ticketmaster from letting artists buy up tickets to resell on fucking Ticketmaster+, so there goes that.

Scalpers are pieces of shit. This isn't the old days when you needed to go physically buy tickets or sit in phone queues; online sales give everyone relatively equal access to tickets, so the whole "adding value by connecting buyer and seller" justification is pure bullshit. Getting tickets is now a matter of luck, not time.

A couple of country concerts that I went to last year were e-tickets. I had to present the credit card that I purchased them with at the door to get the actual tickets. Tickets were non-transferable. I'm hoping more artists start doing this. Keep's the scalpers from getting them.

Report them for what? There are over 150,000 concert/sport/other even ticket auctions on ebay. This is no different. I hate it too but it might be our only way to get tickets this year.

Look on Chicago Craigslist. There are lots of tickets there and will be plenty more if they do IP sales.
