I've had a few flat bottles from them in the capped format FWIW

So is anyone else thinking twice before purchasing? Maybe the odds are better with the 12oz bottles

Hm. I've never had a problem with anything from them as a pretty regular drinker of Unibroue beers. That, of course, doesn't mean a few bottles here and there have had issues. Are they one of the best breweries on Earth? Yes. Will your bad bottles get them shut down? No.

Had a 2012 Don de Dieu last week, it was ridiculously lush.

Pretty consistent in my experience. Far from done, dare I say Unibroue is the best brewery in Canada? Any other likely candidates from Oh Canada?

Hi 'jlafitte' - I am writing to you for the Unibroue brewery. We are sorry for your bad experience with one of our products. Could you please send me your coordinates by email at [email protected]. Also, in order for us to do a follow up, if you have kept any of the bottles, could you please indicate the product code (printed on the bottles, starts and ends with a letter). Regards, Unibroue

Actually we sell quite a lot of Unibroue down here. At least on draft. My bar was the 4 th largest independent draft account they had in the country last year. That said I don't know where the poster bought his bottle. One of the reasons we love them is that their beers are so dependable and consistent. That and the French Quebec/ New Orleans connection:wink:

Thank you for the reply. I submitted it on the Unibroue website, with the code from the bottle, my name, address, phone number, email info. It did not save my sent message, so I cannot retrieve it.
Info is on its way to you.
    Thank you.

I always enjoy Unibroue products, but with the current selection and range of stuff out there it has been a while since I had some. In light of this kind of response from Unibroue, I will pick up some Unibroue products today. This is the way to run a business, great response. Thank you.

I see your point, though I'd venture a guess that N.O. is a seriousl annomoly compared to the rest of LA.

Personal correspondence certainly earned them another shot in my book. Thanks Unibroue!

I've had dozens of Unibroue beers that have sat in my basement for years, and they were all fantastic.

Agreed. Opened an Edition 2004 last month, one of the best beers I've ever aged. Their Grand Reserve 17 is tasting amazing right now too. Never had an issue besides one bottle arriving in a case with the cork missing (bottle still full), with no cage to be found. Guessing it didn't make it on to the bottle and the cork popped off in shipping. Can't fault them for one tiny issue out of dozens of cases and dozens of personal bottles that have been great. Certainly not an issue to create a thread suggesting the brewery should close down.

I always seek out Don De Dieu and it never disappoints, whether in a 750ml bottle, or 12 ounce 4-packs.

Throughout my six years in the industry I've probably opened over sixty bottles of Unibroue and have never had a bad experience.
