Won't be around this weekend, and am kind of bummed to miss out. Hopefully it will not just be a one off batch.

    (TAPPED SATURDAY!!!) “DAVID”
(American Double IPA- 8% ABV) - East Coast meets the Midwest! Our friends from Iowa’s “Toppling Goliath Brewing Company” embarked on a twenty hour, 1,200 mile journey across the eastern United States to collaborate with us on this super hop-saturated Double IPA. We merged a grist of Pale and Caramel malts with a very liberal dose of Citra, Mosaic, and Simcoe hops to produce a soft but extremely potent creation. Your nose will be greeted with aromas of bright citrus and tropical fruits before a sip unlocks a flavor much like biting into a ripe juicy orange. A complex bounty of hoppy/fruity flavors continue as a clean citrus bitterness balances things out propelled by tight carbonation and a luxurious mouthfeel. We find “David” to be absolutely delightful. . . the product of our respective brewer’s dedication to an uncompromising, delicious product. David is fleeting and ephemeral, so enjoy him fresh with a friend and forget about life for a while. (750 ML - $10) *** LIMITS TBD *** (TAPPED SATURDAY!!!)

It's a good thing there are no other beer related things going on Saturday.

Saturdays at Tree House are crazy to begin with. Interesting about the Lawson's, Alchemist, HF events in VT. Didn't think of those. Maybe some will be left for next Thursday.... One can hope.

I'm guessing it'll be crazy Saturday morning with people swinging by on their way to VT. If this 5bbl batch does make it to next week, I doubt it'll last past Thursday. Also depends what they decide to do limit wise.

If this beer is ever made again, it will probably be made in Iowa at Toppling Goliath's Brewery so I doubt we will see another batch anytime soon.

I enjoy brewing, the Boston area, and and hanging with the Tree House guys, so I'm down for another Monson rebrew. That said, hopefully they'll come out to Iowa for a batch here first!

Tree House n00b here: is the policy still show up, at some point put in an order form, then you're able to hang out (or even leave and come back) till your order is ready? Or is it a stand in line until it's your turn for fills format now? Looking to get some hiking in in the area with the family and new pooch if possible. Thanks!

Yes that is still the policy. Best bet, if you don't want to spend two hours waiting is to drop off your bottles and leave for a hike, food or whatever. They do have samples now though, which makes the time go by a little faster.

Anyone else ever wish they were super rich just so you could call four "runners" for days like Saturday and have them go to each spot?

    No one? Just me?

I guess if I were super rich, I'd be drinking rum on the beach somewhere.

I can't drink TWSS trying to decide if the 2 hours roundtrip tonight is worth it for 2 growlers of Sap, yeah I've had it and it's great

Truthfully I bailed. If they had the Eureka tonight I would have gone. I completely agree with you. I am a fan of Sap, fortunate to have it a bunch. Can't go for the rest of the weekend, so hopefully they won't be tapped out next Thursday.
