    Pretty good. It's an amber though? I mean, it looks like one, but this just tastes like a bitter, bitter, bitter IPA. Evil Twin's done better.

    Oaken Barrel Superfly IPA. Has a nice bubblegum nose and enough bittering to offset the sweetness.

    Visited Avery Brewing and bought a couple of bottles from their cellar - pictured here is a 2010 Mephistopheles i just cracked and I have to say its drinking sooo nice. The boozy burn from fresh(er) batches is gone but it still retains a good kick in the form of a warm mouth numbing sensation , although not overwhelming. The notes of dried fruit, caramel/toffee and mostly mocha have flourished beautifully. No bitterness whatsoever and a long fading aftertaste that makes you want to have another sip.

    Was so excited to see Yuzu Pale on the shelf at a store, I eagerly grabbed a couple of bottles.

    Dawned on me later that it was a one-time release, which means these bottles aren't exactly fresh.

    The hop- and yuzu-imparted lime and grapefruit character has faded somewhat, and the yeastiness is more prominent, but I'm still diggin' it... :grinning:

    Newest brew from Hoppin' Frog! Chocolate, peanut butter, coffee porter. Smells like you're sticking your nose in a freshly ground bag of coffee.
