KBS and/or Black Note In Florida

Eh can't win em all, but the increase in quality beer around S. Florida has dramatically increased the past year.
Cascade, Cantillon, 3F, Crooked Stave, Founders (KBS no less!), BCBS and variants, Hopslam, Green Flash, sure even New Belgium why not, I mean La Folie was great. Hell we even get fatheads now somehow.

Founders alone has changed my beer world.

 

That's very true. Especially the last sentence.

It took awhile (particularly miami) but it's getting much better.

 

if it's anything like previous years, my guess would be "yes".

So Fla is getting shafted with that but you also do get all the Funky special releases...for what its worth.

 

Nashville, looking forward to discovering a new beer scene, but going to miss FL so much.

One of my best trades was a growler of No Crust for a growler of Nooner. My god...nooner is amazing.

 

You do what you gotta do. Hit me up anytime you need something from south FL.

 

I traded a growler of FB Chocolate Covered Cherry Porter for a Hiill Farmstead Everett Porter. That was an enjoyable one for me.

 

My Girlfriend loves coconut and I remember seeing last snow and wanting to grab some for her, then I realized it was ridiculous to obtain. Noob....

HAHA....i was literally behind that guy with the White hair(and his daughter) in the growler line. Actually there was another guy between us but he disappeared for awhile to get a beer. we must have been standing next to each other when you took the pic

I was freaking out a bit because this was the first special growler release I had been to and the FB page originally said they had 60. Everyone was standing there with an empty growler and I was the only one without one so i had to ask people around me. I didn't expect it to be that crazy and I drove from Miami beach to get there. Thank god they were super cool about it and tapped the extra keg(s). I'm surprised they don't use the ticket system from the start though.

 

Yeah they handled the situation well and a lot of potentially mad customers were made whole. Ryan actually sent out an apology over facebook saying they will handle the next one better now that they see the demand for these special growlers.

Probably will use tickets or something like the bottle releases on the next big growler day. Personally I'd love to get Whiskey Muy Bonita.

 

This stuff is ridiculous. With that said, going to C-bus tomorrow to pick up a car and driving back thru the Carolinas, Georgia, etc....Stopping by Noda and Westbrook if anyone in FL wants me to mule some brews let me know. Cheers!

 

Ehh you gotta have fun with it. If I had a girlfriend though I would give significantly less shits about beer.

 

So TW Millenia is out of Black Note as well. Luckily I was able to get the last one this time.

 

Gotta love that Progressive Dist has begun providing South FL. Their selection is like the icing on a much improved cake of selection. We're even getting Upright, Crooked Stave, Prairie and JK beers for crissakes!

Also, second year we got the sidestep on BN but they did bring down some awesome kegs like BB9K and Hopslam last year, so we really can't complain.
