Last but not least- compared to stone saison this now a landslide - in fact this brew makes stone saison look like a babies bike with training wheels - this here is how you craft a year round saison

From the last couple nights... Saint Arnold Bishop's Barrel 6 was the best... the Surly version of Blakkr was a close second... Bender was a kickass brown ale as well..

Cigar City Jai Alai very good. Very different from the other IPA's I've had. Off to do graveyard in a few hours then the next two days off, looking forward to my first Founders Breakfast Stout tomorrow morning. I'll make sure to get a picture of that.

 

Though almost about a year old, and that's about all I see in Juneau right now, personally, I think I like this slightly "aged" a bit. Cheers Modernrickk! But wait, bro, you're in CA, don't you guys have one of the best beer distros in the nation? I just visited my mother-in-law in AZ and saw Anchorage brews in the Tucson area, I'm sure you guys get Anchorage brews, right?

I totally agree, it's a "wow" factor when fresh! The sad part is I can't remember the last time I enjoyed that beer since they refuse to date their bottles (last time I checked ... and it's been awhile ...) I've given up on that beer because of that - too many malt bombs.

If they're dating things other than cases, please let me know because I'd definitely start buying that beer again. Not a slam on your post, just a hop head's cry of frustration!

Having some fun and no slam at all, just a tongue in cheek comment! (Wish I were enjoying that great beer too!)

 

I'm assuming its a 2013, though I've noticed and won't put it past some Alaska Breweries to sell us out every now and again. Anchorage and Midnight Sun can be fairly good with that at times. However, I know CA has an exceptionally great distro and have learned that sometimes you guys get our brews before the rest of us. Ha, not your fault, not mine, just the state I live in and the fact that you guys are one of the best beer states in the nation which is why the upper Alaskan breweries wanna send their beers to your state. No worries, luckily the beer I'm currently drinkin' ages fairly well in my opinion. Cheers, man! Do you what you gotta do.

The best stout I've had other than BCBCS and it is amazing fresh. I'm keeping my other 2014 in my beer fridge until Thanksgiving and hopefully it will still come close to this. Happy Easter weekend, BA's!

Guess what Beer I like? Fiddlehead brewing Company Ho Dad Porter. I think I met the guy that likes it as much as me over on the reviews of it in the line at Ithaca Beer release.

Holy cow Ithaca had their new sour plus 5 other new beers on tap. You can't say they didn't brew anything. One of the highlights of the beers I tasted from Ithaca was their smoke beer. I don't know the name but I had a sip of from someone's flight. If I remember right it was @GreesyFizeek .



I can't sleep. I am having one of those porters I wanted one all day.
