Beer store employee stories

One time I went to a Binnys and got free hot coffee, a free bcbs snifter and a free bag of the same coffee used in the bcbs variant. Then I bought a bottle of Proprietors, backyard rye, and a 4 pack of coffee bcbs. Later on I also got to buy a bottle of BCBS Rare because one of the employees generously waited until they raffled off Rare to draw my number.

So maybe try a different store? cuz the one I was at was fucking awesome.

My only beer store employee problem is that there is a user on BA that works at a large store in the Bloomington/Normal area who just hoards a ton of anything special (KBS, BCBCS, etc.) and then trades it on BA's ISO:FT forum.

 

It's not answering the questions about Zombie Dust that is annoying, it's the response to when we answer the question with a "no" that is annoying.

"Do you have any Zombie Dust?"
"Not today, sorry!"
*no thank you is spoken, turns around, starts leaving*
"I do have 2,499 other beers, can i interest you in something else?"
*rolls eyes, leaves*

 

I've been getting that from customers lately because I can't get KBS from my distributor. Also the Heady Topper availability questions are the bane of my existence.

 

With a tear in my eye, it saddens me to announce the passing of the last Old Guy, whose famous tag line "Bock beer, scraped from the bottom of the barrels", will be missed by all.

 

All this binneys employees vag's being hurt is bull shit. If they don't want to be asked for this or that put it out on the floor. First come first served, and problem solved. No need to be ass holes because they have to do their jobs, or choose to hide shit in the back.

The only problem I have with Binnys is that the urinals at the castle are way to high up. I barely make it in there and I'm 6' tall. There's no way someone 5' 6" and under isn't spraying up like a first grade boy or a rich dudes fountain.

I know I was amazed when I called. The lady that answered joked and had fun.

I do feel for places when the rare stuff comes out. On release day the stores I went to their phones were ringing constantly. All you heard was "No its not here yet", "no its not hear yet". That can get annoying quick.

 

the problem is that some LP asshat with essentially unlimited funds would buy an entire fucking pallet of zombie dust and that would sit in his garage for six months. it's a pain in the ass for everyone involved. it sucks that beer has to be a game, but we can't play nice.
