Now I'm going to put on my jungle boots and hit the bike trail for a couple of miles

 

Enjoyed this barrel aged stout last night. Needless to say, I slept very well.

 

Happy Texas Independence Day drink a beer from this great state if you have one.

A little Texas history for you

 

My first...Have been waiting for a long time...Cheers!

 

8 of us got together and chipped in for this bottle along with an official glass for each of us. Worked out to be about $25/3oz pour...worth every penny. Viscous, sweet, tasted like a blend of fine aged tawny port and whiskey, but you could hardly tell that there was 29% alcohol in there. Glass was about $20/ea, but everyone got to go home with one. Got a case of SA mix pack and I brought a bunch of extras from trades and made it more than a worthwhile event. Great time!

Interestingly, the challenge was how to pour 3oz. We got a 9th glass and filled it with 3oz of water for reference. We used a baby bottle to measure the 3oz. It was perfect!

1) Good Idea: I'll move something from Jester King from the cellar to the reefer for later.

2) The first time I saw the Alamo I was surprised how small it was, and how the movie set at Brackettville is larger. Every time we go to SA we revisit the Alamo - it seems that something new has been added. I'm still waiting, however, for a sign or map that shows where Ozzy Osbourne was arrested for urinating on the Alamo (while wearing a dress). I'm betting that won't happen though; it would attract the wrong kind of people, i.e.me.

Fat Head's Sunshine Daydream Session IPA.. I know it's super early, but this is super light with full flavor.. glad they bottled this one.. cheers!

 

Bought some of this from Rozi's this past weekend. Made a great beer for grilling yesterday but I still think I like GoTo better.

 

Thought I would revisit this and see how I feel about it. Still not impressed but I'll drink it

 

Had a 2012 BCBS last night- it is drinking the best I've tasted it so far! At 15% abv I can see it taking a year and a half to really come together.

 

Drank this last night. Last one of the year. I wanted to age until October, but it just didnt make it there.

I LOVE this beer. Takes me back to Fall, Huntin Season, Halloween, Cool weather, & Football

 

Having this one now. Faust's "Riesen Spezial", a very nice Festbier. Touring their facility this past Saturday was a great time.
