From the HS inital 2013 email (did this change for 2014?)

    Other Perks:
-- Ability to purchase at least double the amount of allocations compared to Reserve Society members
-- 20% off: Allocations, other purchases through The Bruery website, purchases at the Tasting Room, and when purchasing Bruery beer at The Bruery Provisions (compared to 15% for Reserve Society members)
-- Access to special growler fills, special flights, access to Reserve Society events
-- Access to Hoarders Society events
-- First right of refusal to join 2014 Hoarders Society
-- Shipping within California (will apply to Reserve Society as well)

    ...I'll just leave this here.

I haven't been able to find that in the 2014 HS stuff I've received.

But, yeah, I'm glad I don't have to split my Mishmichmishmichmish with anyone. ahahaha

That being said considering how gross Praecocia was I'm not expecting much from this one.

What does Praecocia have to do with MMM?

Man this thread has really become a crapshow over the last few weeks...can people get back to posting helpful things like how the newest allocation beers taste when they go on tap, or when people have them at events?

One of the things that makes the Bruery great is their customer service and their communication. Unfortunately because of this, it seems like a lot of people now feel entitled to forum question answers at a moments notice and if anything bothers them whatsoever. So many breweries do so much less, or don't respond to things at all, and we complain about an email when it comes out 2 weeks later then people would have liked?

If you don't like the way things have been going re infections, communication, etc, don't join next year.

If you're afraid of spending $20 on a bottle of beer that they think will be good, but are being up front about potentially having problems, that is totally fine; just don't buy it.

Breweries put out beers that are flat, unintentionally sour, overcarbonated/gush, infected, discolored, etc, all the time and don't warn people, act like it was part of their plan, or simply say nothing, and people don't seem to care. The Bruery does things like offers refunds, do continual QA, and is up front about problems with people if they know about them and people lose their minds.

Anyone planning to open a bottle of either or both first thing tomorrow night? I'm eager to hear some feedback and a bit skeptical of the claim that they are tasting great right now considering my experience with the other infected beers which, imo, were bad from the start (though admittedly I did not keep them refrigerated the entire time.)

It sounds like you got yours. I live in Michigan and there is no easy way to get refrigerated bottles here. I won't be getting any of my allocations. :slight_frown:

I agree with the fact these are forums for discussing beer related topics, but having a thread with just useful info would be nice. 30 pages of opinions makes it hard to find the hard facts like the list of beers for 2014.

Do RS members get both versions?

When would Sucre Cognac barrel be available?

Yes, RS get both. Guessing the Sucre variants would be up May 5.

They're both non-sour apricot beers, and generally non-sour fruit beers disgust me. We'll see. Anything has to be better than Praecocia, though.

I'm going to buy one of each and drink them shortly. If I like them, then I'll buy more and drink them shortly thereafter. If I don't, I won't. That's pretty much my strategy for any beer I haven't had. I like that they let us know what was up so we can make a decision with better info.

for shame. this was going to be RS/HS whale trade bait and it turns out to be a pick it up for me bro at best.

    California traders are truly cursed.
