    After the initial swearing, I shrugged my shoulders and rationalized. If I stopped off at a brew pub to get a couple drinks, I would have spent more money on beer. And my garage was going to need a spring cleaning soon anyhow.

    Agree again. Rauchbiers don't seem particularly popular here on BA. The Eiche should indeed be a good gateway rauch, but in my experience seems a lot more difficult to find than either the Marzen or Urbock.

    Yes, I agree it was still good. I haven't opened any of my black notes yet but have been hearing only good things. Sometime soon I'm going to do a side by side of BN, KBS, BCBS, and BBPt5.
