Summer cans numero dos. I had one of these in a bottle last year, but I have to say that the design of this can is wonderful. Easy drinking.

You guys! Citra Mantra. Pretty Good. It's called an India Pils Lager. I think it's that. Cheers! :grinning:

Nasty day here in NJ. Fortunately I am working from home. Took the opportunity to try Hi Res for the first time.

No work for me today, but an early start tomorrow, so I thought I'd have a couple this afternoon.

18th Street has quickly become my favorite region brewery. It's great to see Drew succeed!

Brought this to Texas with me for a coworker who likes good beer to try but found out he won't be here for another week or so, and you know how IPAs fall off quickly, so....Cheers!

Just picked up some white oak jai alai. Pretty good, but not as oaky as I had hoped.

No pics, but I spent my lunch/afternoon at the Malted Barley in Westerly, RI - my favorite beer spot. While there, I enjoyed, on tap:

Weihenstephaner Hefeweissen - it may not look like Spring outside (pouring rain all day long), but damnit, my tastebuds know better!
Two Roads Igor's Dream - whiskey barrel-aged imperial stout with rye (and strong notes of coffee, to my palate). Is it BCBS? Oh, hell no. Is it a solid stout, with a mouth full of roasted barley kicking you in the teeth? Definitely. Good beer; actually, maybe one of Two Roads' best.
Stoudt's Double IPA - incredibly, extremely hoppy and fruity. Too much so, in fact; it falls prey to the dreaded "Syrupy DIPA!" trap. Huge malt presence - too huge, really. Not a bad beer, exactly, but certainly not high on my list of DIPAs I'd order again. Far too many good beers on that list.

My first beer was covered by the bartender; my last beer was covered by a fine gentlemen who decided to pay for me (hey, he probably makes more money than I do, so I'll protest - but only to a very limited extent, after which I'll take the beer; Adam et al know what I'm talking about). So three solid beers (one world-class, one very good, one simply enjoyable) for the price of one? Yes, please.

In an unfortunately coincidental twist, they ran out of the '13 Sebago BA Barleywine yesterday.....the day after I shipped off my only bottle as a trade extra (without ever getting to try it). Le'Sigh; I'm sure I'll see it around again.

And now I'm enjoying some late afternoon tea.

    Cheers, all!
