What beer are you drinking now? #559

Another chilly PA morning, so

 

I had a Bells Expedition Stout last night before bed. Excellent beer.

 

Finally, tried the Spaten Optimator...an acceptable dopplebock, but I think I will stick with Schneider Aventinus, or the Celebrator to satisfy my urge for a strong bock.

 

Scheduled for tonight is my first KBS of the year. No pic because I will be observing Shabbos, but I didn't want to miss out on today's post!

And on to this while I start planning side trips from GBBF:

 

Damn you! I love that beer sooooooooooooooooooooo much and I usually can't get it.

 

Got together with @dspinler last night. Finally got to the Hunah! It's a '14. What an incredible beer. Met all of my expectations and then some...unlike Dark Soy Sauce Lord.



...we followed that up with the Lawson's Maple Tripple. WOW! I'm usually not a fan of sweet beers, but this one was bearably sweet and the maple aroma/flavor was completely in your face good. Loved it!



Finally ended the session with these 2...The Bible Belt was outstanding and the I-10 was a very good IPA. I-10 was an extra courtesy of @AMSchellenberg .

 

I usually can't get it either - this is a fluke (Market District at Pine, off Rt 19)

 

And now on to this while the third load is in the washer:

Another cool and damp day around these parts. At least it seems to agree with the wildflowers out back in the woods. Cheers to Friday!

 

How is it tasting this year with the Dark Matter Coffee? Still a sugar bomb? My neighbor was kind enough to score me a bottle as I was shut out this year. Just wondering if I should drink it now? Thanks....
