Good god one day away from here and I miss out on the shower LIF and fall way behind in the hints for the next BIF. The blessing and the curse of this amazing thread.

Hey Guys, I would love to fully immerse myself in this LIF culture, would someone mind giving me a crash course? I kind of wanted to know where I can sign up and pull names/put mine down etc... Thanks!! and sorry for being a noob.

You mean BIF? We all just signed up for one on here, new ones pop up from time to time with different parameters. Just BM the original poster to sign up off them. This thread started like that!

 

Look for "NBO" in the thread title , these are the ones accepting sign ups.

 

LIFS will popup from time to time here in this thread where someone is literally giving away beer, either enter by donating money to a good cause like @RayOhioFelton or random just guesses/entries/challenges like @TheBeerAlmanac and his #showerpic

BIFS are basically a giant round robin of shipping beers to each other. In this thread alone there are 2 concurrently running BIFS. a Shotgun BIF (the regular SWTFYW) where @Cuzco assigned everyone that was participating a target gave the people an arbitrary minimum number of ounces to send (cause we follow that rule ) and everyone must ship within the deadline. Throughout the process people drop hints as it goes along to where their boxes is going, starting very vague and gradually funneling into more revealing clues (Unless you're a dick like @Haywire )

The other style BIF is a traditional style, which is currently being run by @Haywire also within this thread. This style is a group of people sign up and a single box travels around person to person also following a certain requirement. This one has a few different rules that actually are followed. @Roger85 received the box most recently and the list is down to 7 people so he chooses whomever he wants from that group packs the box back up and sends it to them. Say I were to receive the box next I would take 6 bottles of the 12 replace them with high quality beers and send it to one of the remaining 6 people. @Haywire will receive the box last and we will begin again....

TL;DR paragraph 1= LIFS, paragraph 2= Shotgun BIFS, paragraph 3= traditional BIFS

Hint #1 I'm a browns fan and based on your location I will be able to be generous as you don't seem to be a steelers fan! If I at some point find out you are a steelers fan you will receive empty broken bottles of all of your wants!

I once was arrested by a Cleveland police officer who told me he was from Pittsburgh...I let him know how I really felt about that...he gave me a ride...I don't get Miller lite arrested anymore though!

 

Last hint(s) for the box before it lands tomorrow- The box that I got had some beers in it that I see distro of. I love them, but I left them in there because my target is in love with them even more than I am. I also kept an "extra item" in the box because my target will be able to use it and I could not. Lastly, somewhere in this thread my target has professed his love for a beer that I get distro of and he doesn't, so I extra'd him a 6 pack of it.

Edit: This hint is for the SWTFYW BIF in a Box, not the SWTFYWWTDTS BIF. I'm not in that one. So if you're in the SWTFYWWTDTS BIF, please disregard this hint. Unless you are also still in the running for the SWTFYW BIF in a box, in which case you should regard this hint closely.
