    Got all my supplies to do my first homebrew tomorrow, and drinking this to finish of the night. First time having it, a pretty decent IPA.

    Congrats on it being your first time. I'm yet to do it. Doubt it'll happen since I drink coffee in the morning.

    Started with a year old Zhukov. Absolutely fantastic tobacco and dark fruit notes with a bitter chocolate finish. This is definitely one of the more tobacco prevalent beers. Even on the nose

    Next was rum barrel Zhukov. This was actually amazing. Really sweetened out the base flavors and made it more of a milk chocolate finish. Of the four of us, this edged out reg Zhukov. Really well balanced and delicious.

    Night capped with this guy. Nice citrusy notes. Pretty solid IPA

    So was supposed to share this bottle [​IMG] between a friend my gf and me...that didn't happen cuz my friends are extremely flaky oh well. More beer for me and she says she can hang!

    Told her to grab the bottle cap from the counter she hands me the plastic wrapper top that goes over it which makes me chuckle

    I finish the glamor shots lol and am ready to drink oh my god that beer us delightful good present bourbon flavor melds with dark vanilla and oak and burnt sugars it's so good and it gives your belly a nice warmth a s it settles ask the gf what she smells she says soy sauce[​IMG]
    Overall good night lots of fun with her
    Then that awkward moment when half a bottle of beer gets gf Shwasted lol

    Hanging out at home, one of the younger members of the Channel 9 news team is sick. A big lunch beer sounded good. Had 9 of these in the basement. I'm more of an even numbers kind of guy. Should make the housework more enjoyable.

    Just cracking it open... should make YARDWORK more enjoyable. Hoping it's not as hoppy as people say it is -- hoppy IRS's bother me a little bit generally... if I wanted a hoppy dark beer, I'd drink a Black IPA.
