Didn't like stouts until ten-fidy! Now I'm really warming up to them.

I love Love Buzz as well but there is no way you can call that a sour. It's a saison with pretty much zero sour component. Maybe you got an infected bottle??

Ditto on RR Consecration. My first sour was a Rodenbach and I couldn't get passed the vinegar at the time thinking I would never like sours. Now they are up in there in favorite style.

Hated IPAs until I had a Wicked Weed Freak of Nature DIPA. Wish they bottled the stuff. I'd never need anything else.

I didn't care for IPA's at all until I had Hoppin' Helles. I know it isn't an IPA, but it opened my eyes to the joy of hops. Followed that with SN Harvest Single Hop #291, Sheep Head, Ruination and Hop Stoopid. I now love IPA's.

Belgians I have enjoyed from the first one I tried, same with stouts, porters, Vienna lagers, Marzens and Maibocks.

I didnt like IPA's because they were really bitter. Then one day I saw a single bottle of Pliny on a shelf at Wholefoods. At $5.00 I decided to give it a shot and try it with honey dew Mellon on the side to lessen the bitterness, the combination of fruit and IPA blew my mind!! I now drink IPA's on almost a daily basis. I now also love the bitterness aspect of the style!!

This. I still don't understand how raspberry tart can balance the line between being overly sweet and yet tart....so good.

Never loved IPA's, still not a hop head but Dogfish 90 thrills me.

For some reason, I could never get into Berliner weissbiers. I have loved sour/wild ales since I first got into beer, but for some reason Berliner Weissbiers never clicked for me. Then I had Bayerischer Bahnhof's Berliner-style Weiss and I was a little more intrigued. Then, after trying a bottle of Freigeist Abraxxxas on a whim, I really warmed up to the style. I just wish more Berliner weissbiers were readily available in my area.

Maybe not "blew me away" but I'll have to say I have disliked/hated the Black IPA/Cascadian Dark Ale until I tried the version from Pfriem. Now I believe there's hope for that style...

I was 48 at the end of 2013 and still did not like IPAs...the first of January I had your standard flight at a local brewery (Hubrew) and something clicked when I tried their Rye IPA. By the end of the evening I had consumed about 4/5 different IPAs and was in love...been on a "search and destroy" ever since.

Didn't think I liked pumpkin beers until I tried Schlafly Pumpkin Ale.

...actually I still don't really like pumpkin beers, but that one's pretty good.

IPA- I had SN Celebration Ale for the first time in 2007, but didn't realize it was an IPA, initially. I am glad I tried it. It was, is, and will be awesome.

I started to tolerate IPA's but it wasn't until I had ruination and enjoy by that I really started loving them. And Saison Dupont opened that box for me.
