Has anyone from Florida heard any updates on the "keep your silver wristbands" batch of Huna? Just curious.

I still haven't got a refund. Figure they're probably a bit busy with the canning line/shitty legislation/hunahpu complaints etc...

I hope they keep it to people that have wristbands. Sorry but it would be a complete clusterfuck to just put them for sale in the tasting room.

Or for a month or so if you have your wristband you can get your allotment 3 for 4 whaterver. Then open it up for the major CF to happen. I know that if they do open it up. The same Deuschconoes (im not bitter) that got cases before will be able to get bottles and that would suck.

Also Rumor has it there is a refrigerated container full of Huna on property. HMMM

I did a cigar city brewery tour a couple weeks ago and the tour guide said they were bottling it that day. Not sure if that is true but that's what he said.

It should be bottled. I tasted it off the brite tank the beginning of April and it was tasting very good.

My only problem with the wristbands is a shitload of people with fraudulent tickets got wristbands. How can you reward people who knowingly took a chance buying tickets from someone they didn't know on the street? These same people were part of the problem creating the craziness. When you buy $50 tickets on the street for $20 and see a line of people waiting, your common sense should kick in. I hope the second batch is a combo of goodwill for those people who have proof of legitimate tickets who not only didn't get their allotment but also just a plain old thanks for sticking with us.

As for the people who got cases (not me) and had a legit ticket, good for them. The sea of people making it almost impossible to get your three allotment was a product of how the bottles were sold. I have faith CCB has learned from the mistakes made and will apply this knowledge to future events. They didn't become a world class brewery by accident. Because of the many many many different events I've enjoyed because of their beers, I'm completely embarrassed for the whining I did the first few days after Huna Day.

I hope they keep it to the people that have proof of legitimate ticket purchases. Most people I know (myself included) tossed their wristbands the second they left the festival. Sorry, but I don't think hoarders should be rewarded for their mental handicap.

They should distro them out with no notice because it's the opposite of an onsite ticketed bottle party.

How does that help the people who didn't get any?

The only way to do this right is to just start selling them outright! With no warning or notice!

Not sure if there is a way for those who have legitimate or imitation silver bracelets to be told apart; is there?

I've never gotten any, so it would help me.

Shouldn't they have a pretty good idea of who paid based on refunds? (I asked them to keep my $ - they refused)

I agree with RayUF07. They don't owe anyone anything. Do as you wish CCB

they are done with bs onsite bottle releases. all beer will now go through regular distribution channels. prevents large scale douchiness and people complaining months after the fact about a bottle of beer.

Most likely (and I hope) they just release bottles randomly whenever they feel like it in the tasting room. Like is Like was perfect. Release some in tasting room then distribute some for people not in Tampa. No reason to do it any other way and it cuts down on traffic since it's random during the week.

From the Facebook post this morning, they'll have some on draft at least twice this week for ACBW:

CCB has always kept Hunahpu kegs for certain events so its very likely that this is from the original batch but who knows. Huna was at the GABF all 4 sessions (maybe not the Saturday evening session) and that was 7 months after Huna Day. Hell, even Cali Brandy Huna still seems to pop up every now and then

If you're talking about for future releases, then yeah, this would be good. But they've told people to keep wristbands, and I assume they'll do something to hook up the people who came in to town from other states.
