Got lucky and got 2 1/2 pours, none from Patrick, though.

My DD was pretty irritated with only being able to get one small plate of food and only water to drink. She showed the desk where it said that she got glassware to take home on the email but got denied.

What did you think of the Oreo? It just tasted like Black Tuesday to me.

BottleLogic's JollyRandall was so damn good. Wish i would have tried the Smog City Mai Tai HopT even though people were freaked out over the "green beer".

That would be my only criticism for the day. I'm really grateful for our DD Sadie and I was hoping for much more interesting food for her, appetizers, tapas, cheese, whatever, just more stuff than the Beachwood fare.

On the bonus side it was really nice meeting Carl and then having him introduce me to Matt later in the afternoon.

When I purchased the ticket online, the description says that the purchase includes a souvenir glassware. Can someone verify? I may be wrong on this.

Yeah, shit, I missed out on Pugachev, SitR Beach Plums (got some Nectarines which was @wuntrikpony's fave of the day) and the Jolly Randall, bummed I missed out on those three.

To be fair to the Bruery, has a pregnant woman ever said, "Yeah, that's enough food. I'm full."?

I got distracted and never ended up with a Mai Tai, my friends definitely enjoyed it. I didn't have an Oreo because two friends also said it just tasted like BT.

I was about 6 people away from BL's Jolly Randall when it blew. I was very bummed.

Hahah, true, but $30 or whatever it was for one plate of bbq and sides was a bit much.

The Beachwood BBQ portions were truly laughable. I'd be really disappointed if I was a vegetarian. In comparison to last year, Haven did a much better job. It would have been better is there was a better distinction of what line led to what. Thanks to Matt Olesh for the Dark Lord pour.

Sucks for everyone that didnt get enough food, I got a huge plate with everything on it, and then went back around 415-430 and made another sandwich as they were trying to get rid of stuff it seemed

    BTW, my favs:

    1. Beach Plums
    2. Nectarines
    3. Tawny Port
    4. Griffon
    5. Oreo

and as much as I complained about all the other beer events I attended before this one was as close to perfect as possible. The initial wait to to get in sucked, but Oreo BT fixed that quickly

I am going to be controversial. The Rare Barrel beers were pretty good, but not worth that line whatsoever.

I didn't bother much w/ Rum Mrs. Soutfire but had a pour close to the end and I am glad I did.

That easily took "Best In Show" and I agree with others that have stated it's better than Proprietor's. Prop's is going to be a bit underwhelming now when I try it again next week. =/

Not being a sour fan personally--I was also impressed by Raspberry Macaroon.

I frequent the Bay Area quite a bit and have had the opportunity to make it to the Rare Barrel a few times. I think Lil Opal from the Firestone tent may have been better than any RB beer I've had yet.

Just to add a contrasting experience, I don't think I could have eaten any more than was on my plate.

The Egregious definitely was. But my time could have been spent better elsewhere for the others.

Towards the end of the day it was awesome to get as much 2012 Rueuze and Oui Oui as I wanted.

Yeah, I think it was probably timing and server, around 3:30pm on the south? side of the tent the servers were dishing up as much as you could put on a plate.

Agreed. Not even close to the hype. Good but not great. Good and not even close to the line they had. Wish I had more Bottle Logic instead.
