El cat 2 or distro?

I thought we'd of heard something about El Cat 2 by now. Anyone know what's up?

 

I thought CCB was done with the 750 mL bottles? I highly doubt it will hit distribution though. Probably tasting room only if not El Catador only.

 

There will actually be two different BA Zhukovs. Rum and Bourbon.

 

They have already slated this as an El Cat 2.0 bottle.
Also CCB has never distributed BA bottles before. With the slight exception that they have distributed BA collaborations e.g. Life is Like and Swinging Harry. So if anything other then a Catador release it would more then likely be Tasting Room only.

 

Nobody ever said they were done with 750's...

 

Life is Like was't really a collaboration. Mikel won a Creative Loafing auction to have his face and name on a beer, and that was the beer that we picked for that.

and look for Bourbon Big Sound to hit distribution this year.

as for 750s, we're still going to use them for barrel-aged beers.

Nice to hear that the BA beers will remain in 750s (though I do think the 22oz bombers look very nice). About the distro of BA beers I was just going off the relatively small amount of BA beers that you have done this with in the past. However, of course all things change and with the amount of growth CCB has seen in the past year change is inevitable. Distributing something like BA Big Sound is bound to make many folks who don't live in close proximity to the brewery very very happy.

 

It will certainly make truck chasers happy.

Yes. I did notice that they recently added an El Catador tab to the options in the online merch store. It's a sign that we may be getting closer......

 

Happy to hear BA Big Sound is on the horizon, certainly my favorite BA style of beer.

 

I thought it was tied to their own website revamp unless they are making a completely separate site for El Cat... which they might be.
