Velvet Merkin?

    With the release of Stickee upon us, I forget how much I love Merkin. I've seen it on tap at a few locations around So Cal, however has anyone seen any floating around SD or OC anywhere? Hope to find a bottle or plenty before it comes back out in Fall.

    Don't look at me I only got one bottle of Parabola and I shipped that off to a friend. Now this beer on the other hand will require some more effort. So, that said, good luck to us!

    More work for Merkin than Parabola? How do you figure? Stickee hasn't been as hard to get as Parabola; don't know why Merkin would be.

    Yeah, Parabola is the king in terms of flying off the shelf. I still see plenty of Sucaba, but Parabola is gone instantly.

    I work at Smoqued BBQ in Orange in the circle and we still have a few bottles left for onsite consumption @ $20 a bottle I think.

    I have Yet to see merkin Anywhere. this may sound dumb but is this not the oatmeal stout? Apologies in advance.

    As for stickee monkey. how is it that you've been able to find them? all places I've checked thus far, no go (gone) I'm in san diego

    Merkin didn't last a week in North county last year. I preferred merkin to parabola personally so I am planning more effort this time around to get the amount that I want.

    Velvet merkin is the BA version of velvet merlin, it should be out in August/ September.

    I saw Merkin for a month after it came out, at least. There was the initial run on it, but when the rest of the batch hit the stores, it actually had some staying power.

    The only Parabola I've seen around after the release in the past four years is at stores charging you 20-some bucks a bottle. I bet if you visited Mesa Liquor (in San Diego) you'd find some now.
