Was at the brewery again yesterday grabbing WO and hitting up a great tap list.

Got to talking with a few employees asking why not and when can we expect CCB to can a DIPA - this was spawned by my finally getting to try Florida Man. The "what beer is the next heady/pliny?" thread brought this to my mind.

They said they were in the process of deciding their canned core DIPA. The workers were saying they ALL want Florida Man canned but because of the hops included the probably won't because they can't acquire enough hops to produce it on the level they would want to make it a core beer.
Florida Man is one of the best DIPAs I've ever had (just my opinion and I'm no judge). It's a 9+% that drinks like a 6%. I'm not going to embarrass myself by trying to further describe this beer.

However, their Cualquier is a very good DIPA in it's own right that I'd buy the crap out of still.

In the end, I'd be plenty happy with Cualquier as their core DIPA (aside from having to say the name out loud, being a Gringo and all), but hope they at least can the Florida Man in even a limited amount.

Anyone else have thoughts? Maybe this can serve as an update thread for a CCB DIPA canned?

I like Jai Alai and really enjoy White Oak...but could really use a CCB DIPA that is regularly available to me and fresh. Hoping their new canning line and expansion through the Brew Hub will expedite this process.

    Cheers

I haven't had Cualquier or Florida Man yet but would be happy if they canned either one.

I haven't heard of either of these beers. They should just can Zhukov and release it year round.

Then release Huna to distro once a year like Zhukov. Moat water should be seasonal.

But then you couldn't use it as trade bait as much.

I'd be cool with both. Considering their new canning line and Brew Hub expansion I'm hoping they can more of the great beers they already have and not just use it to make more of the core and distribute further...but hey, I'm selfish.

Soon my Berliners will be the only trade bait I need.

Florida Man was pretty damn good. Calquier didnt do it for me...

Would love to see CCB have a DIPA that is regularly available...

I wasn't impressed by Florida Man but I thought Cualquier was a little better. I think CCB can do better though. I think their best bet on a good DIPA would be a variation of the Hopped on The High Seas Citra. Everyone I know that tried it absolutely loved it.

I'll be at the Buddha homebrew store this Saturday around 2pm, ill bring a couple with me if anyone shows up that wants to try it.
Kevin was cool with it last time, though my second bottle was a gusher of course and had to make a big ass mess...

The day Marshall Zhukov is bottled regularly is the day I stop buying any other RIS.

Let me know whenever you enter a berliner into a Florida homebrew contest and I'll put one of mine up against yours. We will see just how good they are!
