As we have all seen, there are plenty of threads about what your first craft beer was. But, I have yet to see one about stories from your very first beer. My story, as I was to young to remember, but have heard it form my parents friends my whole life, goes like this:

My parents were having a party when I was 3 years old I tried to take my mothers bottle of Bud from the table next to her. She took it away, but then put it back down a few minutes later....and turned her back to it. The room full of people start laughing and she turns around to see 3 yr old me chugging away at the Bud and 3/4 of it gone. They then gave me some cinnamon schnapps to (I'm assuming) dissuade me but I apparently wanted that too. So, after that, if I wanted some beer or liquor I was always given a taste.

I wish I could claim my very first beer was something other than a Bud...but...what can ya do right?! Anyone else care to share, even if it was just the typical 15 yr old party??

I was 13. I found abandoned beer at a party spot in the woods behind my house. I took a seat, cracked it open, and had my very first beer....a semi-hot Budweiser. It's a wonder I ever drank again.

Don't remember my age ...probably 9, or 10, when my dad, shared a sip of Beck's with me (or it could have been St. Pauli's girl). He had one every day right after work with a big crunchy pretzel and I always thought it looked so cool. I had to try it. I remember thinking "Yuk!!"

16, Coors. My friend brought over a pack of them and said "hey, help me drink the rest of these".

I will never forget that night. I will also never forget how much I hated the taste.

Red Dog. Pops would always bring 3 bottles out to the horse stalls. One for the dog, one for himself, and one to share with me. Looking back, I should feel upset knowing the dog got it's own and I had to share.

I was being carried around at a block party and kept grabbing the rolling rock out of the hands of the person who was carrying me and drinking some. Was younger than 2, but not sure how old.

My first beer ever: Dad shared a sip of something, Michelob or Bud most likely, when I was a kid. Can't remember how old I was.

My first beer acquired on my own: Age 13 or 14, my sister's friend's boyfried (who apparently looked of age, or close enough) got a 6-pack of Busch or something like that for a friend and me. We waited for the "handoff" in the parking lot of the elementary school just up the street from my house. While we were waiting, my dad drove around the corner and asked us what we were doing just hanging out in a vacant parking lot. I was sweating serious bullets that the other car was going to show up @ the same time and we'd be busted. I'm sure he could tell I was nervous and my face was probably beet-red. We've never talked about it since, that would actually be a funny story to share now, almost 30 years later. The beer itself was pretty warm and tasted pretty disgusting. I think I was able to drink two and that was plenty.

My dad gave me a sip of Bass when I was like 12. it was awful. The first beer I actually wanted to try was some random beer in England when I was 20. I don't remember what it was but I still didn't really care for it. I later had some cider and then a Blue Moon, and the rest is history

    Cheers All......

My first sips of beer were Ballantine Ale when I was like 3 or 4. My first out and out getting drunk was July 4th 1981 (I had just gotten out of sixth grade). My family was moving that day (instead of me going to a beach party with my girlfriend). While the adults were packing up the U-Haul, my Dad's friends Buzzy and Don left their cooler full of Bud out for me and my brothers to find... and we got into it BIG TIME!!! I know I had at least 4, and my two older bros must have each had the same. I laughed and giggled for the next four hours on my moving day! Of course Buzzy was probably half drunk and driving the U-Haul with me, Don and one of my brothers.
I also used to be given little bits of Dandelion Wine that my father made. We ran all over Glen Cove picking weeds from everyones lawn! Some old lady's even paid us to pick them! LOL!

Keystone Light. We played beer pong on a thursday night just to do it. it was in the community fridge, so thats what we used. I was still drunk the next morning in Intro to Art, and my notes were hilarious. Apparently there were epic drawings. Then I had a debate in Politics class still drunk. I wondered why half of the class hated me. now I know its because i was debating drunk and saying things just to piss people off.

Took a sip of my dad's Lowenbrau. It was terrible and I stayed away. The first beer I wanted to drink was a Bud Light at a party in the woods with people a few years ahead of me in school. It too was terrible.

Miller Genuine Draft. Probably 14 or 15. My friend and I grabbed a couple out of his dad's fridge in the garage and tried them in the woods behind his house. I literally got sick trying to drink mine. Didn't drink again until quite a few years later after that experience.
