Mexican Cake set for CCK?

to be clear, you were offered a Cable Car (which batch?) for JD, AB & RW BA Mexican Cake, plus a regular Cake?

 

ok, well I'm not up on these whales (at least not the Cable Car Kriek side), but I've seen AB Mexi Cake alone go for some pretty insane-level beers. I can't imagine that 1 CCK can land the whole set, but what do I know

 

CCK for MC set? If I were to consider it only in terms of "trading value", the trade may very well be slightly in the favor of whoever is getting CCK, but I'd rather have the MC set even though it's possible that they may be made again (but possibly not) whereas CCK won't be. I figure the MC set probably tastes better right now. Just my 2 cents.

 

In the end, the only advice anyone can give you is to do what you want to do. If you won't miss the Cakes and want to be able to say you've had CCK, do it. I would do it; I think that's a decent deal.

 

Yeah I'm pretty sure CCK is way up there but I look at it as a "sour" vs. "ba stout" thing. I would rather have some ba stouts over a sour so I wouldn't be interested. However if you like sours and want a heavy hitter those MC are your only chance to get a CCK

 

Take the CCK before he changes his mind.

I'm biased, but nope. 3 great ba stouts vs. 1 sour.

 

No way would I make that deal. The cost of something like CCK is ridiculous.

 

I would rather have Cantillon Kriek over CCK, also people are saying that CCK is not what it once was. In the trading world the CCK has a higher value than all 3 BA Cakes by a marginal amount. But in the real world where taste matters the cakes are not easy to to find a readily available replacement as CCK.

 

This is where BA MCs are now? That multiple people are saying NOT to do the trade?

 

Simple marginal utility. I'd rather have three amazing experiences than one, tick be damned.

 

If you posted FT: CCK ISO: Mexican Cake Set I bet it would be done in under 10 minutes. I tried trading a '12 BA DL set last year and go no bites.

 

Yep, yours was the exact trade I had in mind. Though when I found the thread, one of the last messages said for you to PM the other BA, so I thought it may have gotten done.

 

Ive had the 3 Cake variants but not CCK, if I had an extra MC set then I'd consider trading it for CCK but if it was my only set, hind sight being 20/20, I don't think there's any single beer I'd trade the set for. They will be releasing more BA MC in july, but they will not all be the same variants, the only one I know for sure of is Tequila.
