"Another One" compared to "Lunch"

    I got "another one" as an extra in a trade tonight thanks @singlespeed , and thought it was just phenomenal. I was wondering how it compared to lunch, which I have never had. Just wondering everyones thoughts on them who have had the chance to try them. If its much better than "another one" I may have to find a way to get some.

    Having had both, I far prefer Another One over Lunch; but thats just my personal preference. Dinner comes out tomorrow!!!

    Haven't had them side by side but they were pretty similar. I did like another one just a hair better but could have just been my taste buds that day.

    I agree, I've had many several bottles of each, and Another One is definitely superior. I don't understand why Lunch gets so much hype, while barely anyone talks about Another One outside of New England. It's bizarre.

    I'm one of the (apparently) many who prefer Another One to Lunch. It's just more fruity to me. Lunch is a great IPA for what it does; it's very solid, and fantastically crafted (like everything MBC puts out). But for my personal palate? Another One is far preferred.

    I know @Shroud0fdoom will agree. :wink:

    Check out Weez, same hop bill as Another One; but way different on the malt. One is black and one is golden.

    i prefer "another one," but honestly they're both excellent when fresh. lunch fruitier and more well-rounded hop flavor, if that makes sense.

    @Matthew1788 I liked Another One better than Lunch, and Weez almost as much as Another One. Lunch had a soapy taste to me, somehow.

    Crazy talk over here...had both and lunch is the better of the two IMO...both great tho

    I like 'em both just about equally, and for very different reasons. Another One comes across as fruitier and more aggressively hop-forward to me, while Lunch has a fantastic balance between herbal and citric hop profiles and sweet, bready malt profiles.

    That said... I definitely like the fact that I can safely put Another One out on the shelves of my store and still take one home at the end of the night. It's gotten to the point where I have to hide Lunch in the back to prevent people from trying to walk out with the entire case's worth--God help me if Dinner ever shows up in MA.

    I did a side by side of these last week and Another One just edged it. Both really great beers but AO is a bit more special.

    See what I did there? But yeah, I like Another One much more, although I like em both. Lunch on tap is slammin though, really piney.

    Another one takes the cake. First few batches of Lunch were amazing, lunch is no longer what it once was.

    Another One is one of my favorite beers - definitely prefer it to Lunch, which is much more malt driven imo

    If it's not a below average beer, then it is better than Lunch. Huge letdown on that one.

    Just have to chime in and support the minority view: definitely prefer Lunch. More citrus and grapefruit flavors, which I prefer

    I feel like Another One hold up better in bottles than Lunch. Lunch on tap is easily one of my top 10 beers.

    When I went to MBC a few weeks ago, I treid em all, but I went back for Another One and Another One and Another...

    For my wife and I, it was no contest. Another is much more enjoyable than Lunch.
