Hate to be nit picky, but Bigfoot came in 6 packs in 2010. Not sure it that's what you meant.

As for the thread, I would say Aventinus Weizen-Eisbock. Saw some bottles from 2012 a few weeks ago. Amazing beer, but hard to pull the trigger at $5 for 11.2 oz... not terrible though.

I found a place with multiple bottles of 1999 JW Lees and Fruet. Another with a Great Divide Grand Cru (so good but didn't grab it). Fantome and other great sours/Saudis that sit due to price like the Sq Rt 225 stuff. Also some Frelser (great Mikkeller stuff that I believe is retired). Old DuClaw stuff. You name it. 2009 Old Stock. MD is littered with gold if you know what you're looking for and where to look.

Remember when Nugget Nectar would always sell out, and with a much anticipated release? Now it just sits there on the shelves.

Still multiple 4-packs of this years BCBS sitting on shelves at my local store. They are actually split between two fridges and a shelf so as to make it look like there are fewer available.

Harpoon Black Forest. Extremely solid beer that simply does not move.

A bottle of Westmalle Tripel was my most recent one, but honestly I think it had been sitting there a little too long. It was pretty good, but rather bitter and had an almost astringent quality to it and I doubt that's what it usually tastes like.

There are several bottles of 2011 NB La Folie in a cooler at a small liquor store by me. I bought one out of curiosity and it was really good, though very different than fresh La Folie. Had a really tasty sour raisin flavor.

Also have a bunch of Bruery beers (Tart of Darkness, Rueuze, Oude Tart, Bois, etc.), that sit forever on the shelves around here.

    WTF?

A shelf turd is something that sits on shelves for a long time (or a beer that is perpetually available).

So, if you go to turd advocate, do they refer to turds nobody picks up as shelf beers?

Greenman Snozzberry on the shelf in Charlotte at CM southend a few months ago would be the most recent I guess.

One that will always stand out to me though was when I found a FV-13 somewhat hidden among a bunch of regular bottles at the other CM location a few after release last year. It was turned around and sort of tucked back in the middle of other random bottles. I was so excited... those things were not easy to come by around here. Stupid 6 bottle "cases"

Mine used to be Anchorage's Love Buzz. I could buy that stuff at my local store for 6 months+. I think I finally depleted the stash, and now it hasn't been here in almost a year :slight_frown:

Some Drie Fonteinen Oude Kriek and Pannepott 2011! Thank you, Hyvee. Also, Le Terroir, which is ok and I just mostly trade away to people. Also was in a smaller KS town not too long ago and found a bunch of North Coast Old Stock Brandy Barrel, Biscotti Break, and some De Dolle Triple from years ago.

I was in Plymouth, WI last week and a store had plenty of both Bourbon County Backyard Rye and Bourbon Country Coffee. However, they were charging $49.99 for the Backyard and $16.99 per Coffee, so I passed.

There's a case or two of 75 Minute IPA that came in about a month ago a short walk away from my house at a Giant Eagle. It's been collecting dust ever since, not a bottle has moved. Someday very soon I'll be picking up as many as I can get.

Yeah Tom is the man. Its too bad that I rarely get there while he's working anymore, I'll try my luck again today.

Looks like I need to proof read my posts a little better as well haha.
