Lots and lots of people keep showing up since all tickets have been handed out. That's a bummer.

I drove 3+ hours just to get shut out. They handed out tickets before 8:00am, what an absolute shit show.

Well with all due respect, this was absolutely expected....and if there are already enough people in line to fulfill all ticket allotments, what difference does it make when they hand them out? I think they were actually doing it as a courtesy to those showing up, so they would know there is no chance of getting a ticket.

Sorry you got shut out, but if anyone thought showing up after 7 was gonna guarantee you beer, you didn't plan very well.

Make the drive and got shutout? Message me, have tickets 274 and 275 was told probably only Triple Sunshine by the time they reach these numbers. Have decided I will wait for another release or hit a bar.

I clung to the bottom of Sean Lawson's van like Max Cady in Cape Fear to get my Triple Sunshine

    Got 101 showed
was NOT a shit show. We all knew we were gonna get here early. Even if they waited till 8, if you got here at 8 you still would have missed out on tickets. There were enough people here to give all the tickets away at 730. So they did. It was as well organized as it could be. Thanks!

Haha! 5:50am is an aggressive move. I love reading about this stuff. You gotta find out when the first people got there. I hope they camped out on the sidewalk all night.

Heard that the first person in line arrived at 4:40 am- the new standard for future Lawson's releases?

Since there were lines in Waterbury for CBC starting at...uh...7?? for a 9:30 opening for the sale of those 100 cases, it's possible the Waterbury only "adventurers", between slugging some heady and hitting the HF tap lines, there's a good chance for mayhem by 1:00-2:00 when they start judging costumes.

I don't know if I could do it. The wife and I did one of the markets this winter and we got there just after 7 and it was fine. Too much anxiety and not enough patience for me for something like this.

4:40 am for 8:00am Lawson's tickets? 2.5 hour wait for Heady? Thought about August farmer's market but now really questioning that. Am sure all Lawson's stuff is great and special releases are fun but probably just not worth it for me. Would rather stick to quiet week for getting some Heady and HF, visiting Lost Nation, Fiddlehead, etc., and hanging in Waterbury.

Arrived at 715, got tix numbers 228/229 at 745. Went to Waterbury to play some disc golf, drove around the mtns, on our way back through dt Waterbury, lines of 50 at each bar. Got to the market at 1115 and they were already at number 250 and all they had was Triple Sunshine (oh darn). A lot of no shows when we got there.. Then hiked a bit on the long trail, swung down to Fiddlehead and then lunch in burlington. Couldn't ask for an easier Saturday morning.

You did not have to get there at 440 I got there 2 hours later and got the full lot. As far as a 2 + hour wait for Heady? They had cases at 730 across the street from the lawsons line. Sure not a ton but a bunch of people simply walked over and grabbed one. Hell we waited till we were done at the market drove to CBC and had some Heady in 20 mins. Scored some 2nd Fiddle and Arctic Saison as well. Could not stay for the Alchemist release unfourtunatly but they had plenty ready from what I heard up there.

I actually did not say weekend, I said week. Been twice during week without crazy/multiple releases and had no issues.

This morning was handled awesomely, honestly even better than the anniversary. Line was absolutely crazy this morning but at 100+ in line still got a pour of Triple Sunshine at Mad Taco and full allotment other than the rum fayston (ran out right around 10/10:15). Farmer's market was great - didn't realize how much cool stuff would be there. All in all by showing up a little before 7 I was able to grab everything I wanted from Lawson's, get into Mad Taco before anything ran out, have a bit of time to look around the market, and then make it into Res when the doors opened. Feel bad for anyone who waited a while for Heady at CBC as it was plentiful in Waitsfield. Skipped the truck sale this time around but assuming that went as smoothly as the last one Vermontageddon this was not. Anyone still heading into town tonight is going to have an absolute blast.
