    lagunitas nighttime.

exactly what i expected; dank, straightforward, with well done "black IPA" malt backbone. really great beer to drink over several hours.

Green Flash Road Warrior, really like the malts used, quite a bit of rye, got a nice spice to it.

Good evening BAs. I'm having an awesome start to my Memorial Day weekend. I drove up to Tuckerdale, NC to drink, trout fish, and shoot off about 500 .22lr rounds out of 8 different pistols/rifles and my new HK AR 15 which shoots .22s as well. The weather is beautiful. I will show some pics of mountain scapes where I didn't photo my beers. Here goes.

Had my first can of Two Hearted to start. Supa fresh.

Next was also a first in Stone Go To IPA. It tastes just like reg IPA to me honestly, and at the price I'll just go with the 6%. I rarely drink enough quickly to worry about abv.

After coming back down to the house we cooked Cornish Game Hens and I pounded a 2012 Rueuze. Awesome.

Which brings me to what I've been pumped about all day. It's absolutely sublime and a great way to end the day in the beautiful NC mountains.
    Cheers friends!

Used to drink the shit outta these guys in Germany. They were very cheap, ( bought them in REAL stores ), but thought they were good or near as good as what I could get in the Rheinland Pfalz region

No beer this post but more Chris Cornell. I think it's pretty cool what he did here, U2 music and Metallica lyrics. I'm fans of both groups and I like the way it came out.

Agree man, it has the nose of BCBS but it is far more smooth and mellow tasting IMO.

Snuck a peek at Charlie Daniels Volunteer Jam ( used to be a huge concert/deal ) & saw one of my all time favorite Southern Rock bands (or what's left of them) the Outlaws. Green Grass & High Tides Forever!

Also Charlie doing some Bob Dylan ( Tangled up in Blue )

Core Brewing Co. Behemoth Pilsner, closest local brewery & they are on a great trajectory!

Russian River Dribble Belt IPA wins the prize for me as the best session IPA!
Tremendous orange zest in the nose and flavor, this is a cutting edge IPA.
    Cheers!

Well, don't know what to make of this. Sweet, spicy, syrupy. And wheaty, yeasty. It's somewhat interesting.

Batch 9. Great stuff. Batch 6 still stands as the best one I've had out of the oak aged. It was insane. Regular La Trappe is my favorite quad ever. These oak aged ones rarely have much carbonation vs the regular stuff as well.
