What beer are you drinking now? #582

Went out for a howler refill of Kelso's Industrial Pale Ale, which I'd had for the first time Friday.

Chillin' with the missus on the balcony - even let 'er use my Breckenridge glass for her margarita!

Took the action inside for lunch - homemade macaroni salad, coupla hot dogs; threw some o' the bacon the dogs, too

Had some lemon Bundt cake with lemon frosting for dessert (no pics, but why would I lie, eh?)

Then took a big fuckin' nap

Time for a cookout at the neighbor's

 

Got tired of waiting for it to get to the Twin Cities and took a drive to Hudson this morning. Picked up a case and my wife gave me one of those looks.

About to start grilling some brat. As part of my planning I thought it best to first have some Sleeper Street IPA from Trillium. You know, you can't go rushing into things, right?

 

Up next! And I can't wait. I've had lunch, mo and now red WB and all have been good or really good.

 

From Worcester, Massachusetts. Wormtown Hopulence DIPA. 8.5% ABV. Very easy drinking for the style.

 

Couples shower today for a friends daughter. Fried tacos, tamales, enchiladas, beans and rice. Two local beers on tap, Bent River Mississippi Blonde and Uncommon Stout, a Sangria, and since the shower was @ a martini bar, a Joe Montana, tasted like a caramel hard candy.

 

Just found some nice, fresh Hoptimum, and GI Illinois at my local bottle shop, Mister B's. Drinking a few nice homebrews (Black IPA, Oatmeal Pale Ale, and Falconer's Flight IPA), while brewing a 5-gallon batch of Rye IPA... saving the treats found earlier for a little later on... cheers BAs.

 

This weekend I've been trying out a few canned IPAs.
Big River IPA. Local brewery. I realized later that this was from January and tasted like it.

Catawba Firewater.

Anderson Valley Hop Ottin'. Awesome IPA. One of the best I've ever had.

Cigar City HOTHS Calypso

The verdict: I am digging the can.

 

Alaskan Hop Thermia Double IPA...

As promised, a refreshing wild ale on this warm afternoon.

 

Stopped by Edmund's Oast for the first time. I'm not a socialite by any means and there are lots of places I haven't been to in Charleston, but from my experience it is by far the best bar in the city.

Started with Faust, which was an incredible Flanders Red


Then had Nameless City, their strong dark ale. Also very good.


Now home with this one. I love Stone but I'm not a huge fan of this one.
