Large volume of 10.2% alcohol, there sure is something wrong with that IMO. Do what you want, but I can't imagine anyone doing that and being able to function.

    1. Backwoods Bastard is maybe the best beer I've ever had. To see it wasted like that is just so, so sad.

    2. My store announced on facebook that Cerise and Devil Dancer were on sale starting today. There goes $40.

One day, I'll make a pilgrimmage to Grand Rapids and it will be a happy day.

I thought Devil Dancer wasn't coming out until July 2, the same day as Frangelic Mountain Brown.

Hmm, really? Maybe the guy posting on facebook from my store is confused. I'm heading in there tonight, we'll see what's there.

Just grabbed some Double Trouble today, just a single 12 oz that they completely over charged for, but I suppose it's better than saving 4 bucks on a 4 pack and finding out it isn't my thing.

I don't always drink new beers, but when I do, I like to grab a case and bathe in them.

Hate to quote myself but that Double Trouble was good not great. Had some Final Absolution and it was way better. Glad I grabbed the 4 pack of Final Absolution and only 1 Double Trouble, although the Double Trouble is worth drinking again. Does a good job of hiding the high alcohol content.

I live close by Founders and I still LOVE the Double Trouble. It is what it is. A GREAT 2xIPA. You might like some better, but it's a great DIPA none the less.

Do you recall the bottling date of that Double Trouble? Just curious. When it's fresh, Double Trouble is DIPA heaven in my book. My man MichPaul has this right.

I had it on tap a couple weeks ago and it was GREAT! You and the wife still planning on going to the taproom even though the IRS stock is depleted? DT is still showing on tap!

Was 4/06 just pulled it out of the recycling bin.

I think I just happened to drink it next to a Belgium Ale, and Belgium ales are my favorite. Also, that Final Absolution was fantastic and right up my alley, so it might just have hurt my senses for the Double Trouble. But, like I said, I would buy the Double Trouble again. It does a great job of masking the ABV. (if I were scoring the Double Trouble on a 100 scale, I'd give it a 86. Like I said before, I paid too much and I liked the other beer I had before it more, but it was still a solid DIPA)

I thought Double Trouble was fantastic. I just finished my last one. Over the weekend.
I picked up some Dirty Bastard today. I haven't had that in a while and I am looking forward to cracking one open later tonight.

You were right, the store was mistaken - just Cerise became available yesterday. Bought four, have them chilling in the fridge and at least one of them will be consumed tonight. Very intriguied by this one. Had Blushing Monk a few times and it was really good.

I don't see where he said he intended to drink it over a short period of time. Maybe if he had made it through it, it would have lasted hours.
