    Not sarcasm.

Talked today with a friend and discussed the fact that not too long ago many in the Craft Beer Community, as much as that term still has a meaning, right here in this forum, here on BA, were vowing not to drink Goose Island beers after purchase of GI by InBev.

My best friend/hb partner has been in love with a beer called Bourbon County Stout. I've grown to love it as well, drinking this most recent batch with him that is stupidly delicious. I told him the news that very likely there will be enough GI BCS avail. in future that it will be a year around shelf staple. This new ability is due to the new facility dedicated to GI BCS that InBev is putting in.

    2 things here:
How likely would it have been that GI under the Halls, who had benefited in past by limited releases, and likely lacked available/sufficient funds, would have purchased an entire facility dedicated to BCS?

We, and by that I absolutely include myself, have really laid righteous and heavy abuse upon the bullies of BMC when they deserved it. Isn't it time to lay some righteous praise on InBev for doing something good?

Never thought I'd say this, but, InBev--

--if you are going to keep the quality the same or better, with same or lower price, and make Bourbon F----ing County Stout a year around staple on my store's shelf ---

    THANK YOU

If I could buy a thirty pack of GI BCBS (canned), well, that would be one hell of a party.

If anything the price would come down. People wouldn't pay a premium for a beer that isn't hard to obtain.

I will give credit where credit is due, this is a very good thing for Goose Island fans across the country. They are doing well in that regard.

I still have an issue supporting company that would rather destroy the competition than bolster the community. I would rather support the breweries who support the community. I have respect for the Goose Island product and people, just not the ownership.

WTB in FL. Is it really too much to ask that they shut down just 1 Bud giant brewery and make only BCS in it? That way we can all be spoiled in every state and have BCS kegs in our homes...and BCS bathtubs!

    A guy can dream :-)

No doubt, but at the end of the day I will enjoy a BCS and discuss how the impact of bad can be mitigated by the enjoyment of good, and how they relate, and react, with each other on a philosophical scale that changes, as does the reality it tries to describe, improve, and regulate.

So when will the new markets see any BCBCS? because I don't care for the regular lineup.

Perhaps by then you will have learned more about many things, like that Berliner Weisses are sour for instance, and maybe also have grown to love the strong and sweet bourbony depths of deliciousness that is BCS.

BCBS used to be available year round anyway, was just expensive. maybe not produced year round, but it was pretty much always in stores.

i still won't support A-B, but i don't mind if they gain traction through putting out good product. if they're doing shit like threatening to pull popular AALs if stores don't drop half their craft and dedicate all their space to GI, i'm not at all grateful. angry, rather.
