Yes, I'm starting a fan boy thread.

    Affordable? Check.
    Tastes freaking great? Check.
One of the best double IPAs there are? Check.
Easy to get for most? Check.
    Available year-round? Check.

Someone tell me what's a better bargain than a 4-pack of DirtWolf. Me and a co-worker were talking about it last night. Best deal in all the beer game right now. Hands down in my honest opinion. I salute Victory.

    Thoughts...?

They seem to be getting it more dialed in lately, too- so that's another big plus in its favor.

Agreed. The last couple of 4s I bought were just super juicy.

Agreed! Hard to find something comparable no less, and near impossible to find a better deal. I love that Victory is making an effort to provide us with a (IMO, pretty great) year-round IIPA, something most breweries won't touch.

Stone Ruination- Same price normally for me ($10/4), and in the Mixed 12 packs it is $5/3, $10/6 if you buy a case.
DFH 90 Minute- Obviously you have to enjoy the sweet, whole cone profile of it, and I (really) do. Also $10/4.
Green Flash IIPA- Another you have to enjoy the (dank) profile of, and I do. $5/22oz., $50-60/case
O'Dell Myrcenary- Widely available in (St. Louis) Missouri, almost always fresh. $10/4
Firestone Walker Double Jack- Love it fresh. $10-11/4
Lagunitas Hop Stoopid and Maximus- $4-5/22oz of Stoopid and $10/6 for Maximus, I can't not mention them.

Sculpin is a bit to expensive for my pocket book.

I'd never really had a "go-to" beer before, but Victory DirtWolf has become my go-to. It's one of the best DIPAs I've ever tasted (the first time I tried it on tap it was like an explosion of tropical fruit in my mouth), it's available near me and sold year-round, and it always seems to be reasonably fresh when it hits the shelves. Victory hit it out of the park with this one.

Throwing in another nominee, not that you asked. Distributed in 13+ states, year round, $8.99/6 pack.

There other stuff is great too, really glad they returned to the Southern Illinois market. Prima Pils is a great floral (hoppy) pilsner, Hop Devil is a great malty and hearty whole-cone (I'd call it an English IPA with American ingredients) IPA. Can't wait to try my first Storm King soon, I've heard it is a great imperial stout and it too is year-round.

Any reports on how quickly this one drops off? I had one last weekend that was just under 3 months old. I normally wouldn't purchase an IPA that old, but I thought it was a 3 month best buy, and it turns out that they give it 5. But at just under 3 months, it was a complete shell of what it is fresh. Drainpoured it. Any reports on say, 2 month old?

I live in Downingtown and was mlike the 9th person to review Dirtwolf on here. It got a lot of love at first, then the hates came. All said and done, top tier IPA with great price point and availability. Tough to beat.

You know a brewery is doing something right when they have a great thing rolling like Dirtwolf and then just throw a Hop Ranch out there earlier this year that in my opinion is just as good.....Makes me buy more victory beers.....for instance....otherwise i probably would have never considered trying Summer Love, but tried it because victory made it and now am loving it as a crisp summer offering.

Probably the most overrated IPA on this site. It's good, just not worth the praise it gets. I pass on 4packs when I see it, which means there's more for you to buy!

I am a BIG fan of Storm King but permit me to provide the following 'warning': Storm King is very hoppy for a RIS.

    Cheers!
