Good morning BAs! Day 7 of my personal German/Austrian Breakfast Beer Week so here's today's breakfast:



I realize that for many of you good German beers are pretty easily obtained - not necessarily so here in backwoods PA. I picked this up in MI recently, as I did the rest of this weeks breakfast posts. Then, on the other hand, I haven't really been looking for German beers that hard around here until now. Any way, this is a pretty tasty beer, but I don't know that it's worth the $ 5.99 I paid.

Just got back from the store with a six-pack of New Holland's saison, Monkey King. I haven't had that yet, so I'm just waiting for my pancakes to settle in my belly, then it'll be time for some of that. I bought some extra-extra sharp NY white cheddar that should be good on the side.

 

It's a good beer, for sure, but $5.99 is a little high for it, I'd say.

Hey WI BA's don't pass on this one, it is phenomenal! So rich and creamy with huge coffee flavor.

 

Had this last night at the Broken Barrel here in Palm Bay. Not up to par with the Jai Alai, but had a very unique taste. Recommended to those who can find it.

Green Bench 1903 Berliner Weisse

 

It was just over a year ago that I tried Saison Dupont for the first time, at Magic Kingdom in Disney World of all places. I just picked up this year's dry-hopped version.

 

Prairie Okie (Imperial Brown Ale aged in oak whiskey barrels). My first Prairie beer. Wow, this stuff is amazing! I was expecting it to be good, but this is fantastic. This is like a bourbon barrel-aged Quadrupel. DIABEETUSS!!! Cheers!

P.S. Not sure why it's under American Strong Ale.
