I thought you said that one tasted more like pumpkin than pumpkin does.

It was actually. I aerated it with a bike pump, still didn't turn out quite like I wanted.

My first solo homebrew was a 1.068 IPA with no better way to chill than a snow bank, no yeast starter, and no fermentation temperature control.... pretty freakin crazy. Oh and I moved it to a secondary to dry hop. Wild!

Eff that. My first home brew was a 120 min IPA clone that I brewed drunk using paper towel to light my burners. I then threw pancakes in it and took a shower in it...

The more purposes you find for a piece of equipment the better off you are!
Edit, it triples as a wine thief!

Hmmm... probably the "craziest" beer that I've done was a Milo Pale Ale (which is not that weird, considering Milo is basically Chocolate + Malt).

I've been conducting my crazy experiements so far as "pure" wines in order to get a feel of how they ferment and taste separately. So far I've done: Spearmint, Walnut, Milk, and Carrot, along with some different fruit (cumquat, tangello, loganberry, quince)

Did a smoked dark IPA a ways back that would have been decent if I didn't use peat smoked malt. Those phenolics there killed anything else. I want to try that again with more tweaking of recipe.

Apple ale that I later pitch a lactose smack pack into. Haven't tried it yet bc it's still working.
