It says on the side consume within 90 days. It's not gonna get any more sour or do anything. Drink fresh

It has all been bottled. Still some to be shipped out to distribution and still some available at the brewery.

I will +1 this as well. Had it last year well after the date on the can and it wias still fine. Folks I shipped it to also liked it. Plus that is the only way you are going to be able to drink a gose in late winter early spring when you are waiting on the next batch. I wouldnt hold them for 2 years. I dont think that they will get better, but you can maintain their goodness for a while.

Had a bottle of Gozu, from December 2013, about 2 weeks ago. There was nothing wrong with it. Sour beer can only get more sour, unless it gets infected. Then it turns "bad sour".

I agree. Those cases have not been moved. I bet you called Green's Assembly or the person just didn't check.

[QUOBartos, post: 2481908, member: 722425"]Should Gose be drank as fresh as possible? Or is it able to stand up to a bit of time?

I just ask because I know that while it is low alcohol, it's also a sour.[/QUOTE]
The brewery will tell you to drink it fresh but I like the way it ages. Loses salt, gains tremendous clarity, and gets sweeter. I just did a 3 year vertical and prefered the 2012.

Guy on the phone said folks bought it all up after Cake was gone. Sort of a consolation prize.

    Guys!

Mantooth bought a case yesterday and the dummy is drinking the bottles when he can get it on draft nearby!

I cannot imagine a better release for Mexican Cake in ATL than the one that just went down at Hop City. Yes, it was a timed release. But they conducted it old school, meaning that you had to stand in a physical line outside the store. And the line was not permitted to form until one hour before the release time. Everyone who came was courteous and polite, and we moved through the line quickly. So, for most of us, I'd imagine that the whole process took just over an hour. And there was still Mexican Cake left for purchase when all was said and done.

I'm not going to get into the merits of timed or ticketed releases in this forum. This is not the place for that. But for those who were able to make it on time, this was an exceptionally well-done release.

What were the price and the limit?

Price was $12.99 per bottle. Limited to 1 per customer, unless you were a Hop City Express member (which is free), in which case, it was 2 per customer. You had to be a pre-existing member, however.

Good to see they finally used that worthless "express member" junk for something. I always had them scan my key card, but never was good for anything, other than them maybe tracking your purchases.

They probably had a fair bit, and it went farther because it was 1 bottle limits. Most places had 2 bottles if I read correctly. Not too shabby.

Props to Westbrook for getting plenty MC into distribution. We saw more MC in Athens than we see of Terrapin's limited release stuff. I hope they can keep adding capacity and not stretch their footprint beyond their means.

    Got my 1 bottle today.

Last year I had no clue what it was and got 3 bottles for a friend in Florida and none for me because it was $12. That's "expensive." Then I tried it at a tasting. Big mistake.

Glad I finally got my own.
