Was it old/mistreated, or just not to your liking?

Not sure. Had it once before and it was a little better. I think it's just not to my liking. Not a fan of Foreign/Export Stouts. But then again, all of Pike beers are not good.

I thought it was weak. Brown Ale like. Old Engine Oil....that's a great porter!

That's cool- I asked because I just bought one today. I just opened it now to see if it's been changed, and I like it, so it's probably just not for you. Cheers!

Yeah! Too hoppy for a Foreign/Export Stout. Just like their Triple. It was an unfiltered DIPA.

Happy Birthday! Mine too! and my son's!

I'm L today, and my #1 son is 17. I even took the day off to take him to his road test, and he passed! So we have many things to celebrate today.

I just started with one of these-

I always enjoyed this beer, although it might not be for everybody- just extremely roasty and hoppy, kind of like Storm King's smaller, but more aggressive, brother.

Some road music for the road test-

Not the greatest as you say, but I think it holds up as a porter rather well! My favorite is Grain Porter which is solid. I'll have to try and find Old Engine Oil in the UK, if not next time I'm in the US

It's brewed and bottled in Scotland. Shouldn't be that hard to find it.

Don't know how you're doing it but I am impressed. Got a filling on Monday and I still have some issues with drinking
