Who else in the SW forum is kicking ass like these guys? Every release is the tits and in large enough quantities that you don't have to chase trucks around. I still see Bomb, Belt, and wine Barrell Nior on the shelves, not because they suck, but because Prairie can make great batch sizes and price them accordingly, and not sell them at restaurants only ( cough st Arnold, cough).

Keep it up Prairie, can't want to see what u come up with next!

Completely different ball game when you're comparing St A's to Prairie. You're comparing apples to oranges.

What ever happened to their regular saisons though? Prairie Ale, Hop, and Standard were all staples in my fridge. I don't see them anywhere now.

If by "the tits" you mean that every batch lately has seemed to have a number of infection/leaking cap issues, then yes, they're killing it. Maybe that's why people aren't buying it up....

So 2 beers out of how many had infection issues? Please explain which ones other than vanilla or coffee noir has?

"Priced accordingly" is the thing I'm starting to question. 8-10$ per 12 oz bottle is starting to bug me. Making it harder and harder to keep buying them at that price. I think this plus the recent infection issues are more leading to them being available on shelves than batch size being drastically increased (i am sure they have ramped up production significantly).

I also slightly question what has happened to their other beers. Seems like they are really just trying to take advantage of the bomb popularity and hype factor. Props to them for that but I'd like to see more of the saisons and funky stuff released.

    Just my opinions...

There have been issues noted with Bomb and Bible Belt (cap/leaking issues), Coffee, Vanilla and regular noir (cap and infection issues). So that seems a wide enough variance across batches to be notable. For me personally, thats enough to at least give pause

Really liking the beers(even though my two Vanillas have tasted off), and buying plenty. Glad to see it on shelves now. But, the price is getting to me... Will continue to pick up new releases, but maybe just one.

Cap leaking? So the beer isn't good then?

Regular noir has been infected since when?

If you walk into a store and see beer leaking out from under a cap, would you buy the bottle? Personally, I wouldnt. Compromised caps seem like a pretty obvious red flag for rapid oxidization. That issue should be an easy fix.

And yes, there have been people, here and on other sites, reporting infection issues with regular noir as well. Obviously not every bottle, but coupled with the horrible bottles of coffee and vanilla I had to drain pour, it raises concerns.

If you're not concerned about it, thats your choice, but that doesn't mean other people aren't, and dont have cause to be.

I don't understand what you mean. I get they make a very different lineup. I think he was referring to the BB series, which is comparable to Prairie stouts except for being released differently in smaller, more expensive batches.

Not seeing the difference up here. To me it's still tasty. I'm sure the ramp up in production is pissing off traders as it is becoming less rare as time passes...
