Dear Prairie distro area BA's,

I dozed off at work today and had a dream of these little cherry headed dudes. I'll spare the details of this dream out of embarrassment. It was kinda disturbing how I woke with a smile on my face.

Let me get to the point... I really wanna try this potential masterpiece. If anyone gets their hands on one more than they can handle, let's work something out.

Ha it probably will be. The owners of lonestar in carrollton didn't have a ton of nice things to say about how the distro has been working with Prairie lately.

 

@MarkPryer I'm sure that's something that was said in confidence that they didn't really want broadcasted on BA

 

Maybe, but in a lot of cases these things need to be brought to light. I know some of the sales reps with one of the distro's make calls less than once a month. May not be the case here, but Famous Brands seems to be a little slow at times. And the refresh of the basic Prairie lineup has been seriously lacking to where several stores have talked to me about it. If they can't refresh the everyday lineup then these problems need to be brought to someones attention. Prairie is begining to look like Jester King.

 

Told in confidence to a random customer? That's just a bad judgment call then. And what if the store has already had a discussion with their rep about it?

 

Prairie distro has been quite crappy for the last couple of months. I rarely see anything other than the latest release on the shelves anymore.

hahah Never heard that before... Always referred to them as "sorostitues" when I was in school

 

I never see anything other than the new releases anymore, which is sad. I'm a fan of everything I've had from them, and would most likely buy the other stuff I haven't tried. However, even the big box stores like spec's, total wine etc don't get hardly anything...ever. It sucks. I'm sure that they've had discussions about it, and it seems to boil down to not being able to supply the amount of beer needed for the demand that is there. Not totally the fault of the distro, not totally the fault of prairie. They've just grown very fast.

 

I sorta think they have expanded their distribution way too quickly to keep up with the distribution in places they already were.
