I just want to bring to everyone's attention that we had made a deal where I would send a Prop for these bottles and I assured him I would make up the difference in bottle rarity and cost. We agreed and he even sent messages making sure we were still on and that I wasn't backing out.

Fast forward to tonight. He sends me a message indicating that Atrial was trading for more than his offer and that he would like to reassess our trade based upon current trade value.

It could just be me but future trades are based on two tenants. One is that you can lock in on a trade without being worried about future values. The second is that you're in assure of what a future value may bring but that you're return might be less than it orally expected but that's the risk you take with future trades.

I'm beyond furious that a trade was agreed upon and once a bottle becomes more 'rare' the trader wants more in return instead of relying on my trading experience which IMO is spectacular. If think twice before trading with this character.

@steve423423 if this is true, you're about to make a bunch of people's bad traders lists...

^^ Agreed. I was in a similar situation where I undervalued some bottles that I just acquired. Having already agreed upon a trade, I bit the bullet and kept my word cuz it's always like a dick move to flip-flop based on circumstances outside the two partys' control, which is a related beer release in this case. Best to apologize and keep your end of the deal to keep your karma in check, doesn't seem too late to do so...

That's a straight-up dick move. Added to my list, thanks for the heads up!

@steve423423 You're a serious POS. @PA-Michigander is one of the best traders on this forum. The box you would have received would have been one of the best. It's people like this that make me happy I have solid, regular trading partners.

Sad thing is, having an established trading relationship with @PA-Michigander is worth way more than a bottle or two of whatever. That dude knows what it means to be a good BA. Welching to his detriment is one thing, welching to your own is even dumber.

@PA-Michigander, if there's something you're looking for that I can help with, you know how to get in touch.

Can we create a new thread with this guys name in the title so we can warn everyone else about him? I have a feeling "How to get a Prop" is no longer an appropriate title for this thread... maybe we could call it "How @steve423423 is trying to dick over multiple people to get a prop.."

Novice question: is there an actual function on BA to create a list of people to not trade with, or is this something that you guys keep in your own records? I'm still learning the ropes and can't afford to get taken advantage of. Thanks.

@F2brewers I don't know if you want to split this into two threads or something, but the topic of discussion has certainly changed -- the bad trader information, to echo what others have said, is important but not evident in the thread title.

That's what I figured. Just wanted to make sure I didn't miss something. Thanks!

    Thanks for the heads-up.

I split the two threads. The older one is now locked (but it remains for up for refernce). I added a link to this thread there and referenced the original thread in post# 1 of this thread.

He took this one down now cause too many people were talking trash on his ISO/FT. Im sure he will post another one soon tho. He has been on and off all day and i know he has seen everyone calling him out to reply or to try to make this right for @PA-Michigander ,and he obviously doesn't care. Not good at all......

Wow man... Hope it was worth it to try to squeeze every little bit of trade value out of your bottle...sad thing is you missed out on establishing a trading relationship with one of the best BAers out there.

Time to live up to your end of the trade @steve423423 . How would you be feeling about this if the situation were reversed?

Wow. This is the first time seeing this lol damn a buncha people getting mad who I've never even talked to. Anyways, i sent a message for clarification purposes. Sorry everyone, including people who weren't involved, got so upset. Easily could've been handled one on one and easily would've went through with the discussed trade (which I told him) just was clarifying. I've done plenty of trades and have never or would never screw anyone over. Sorry if there was a misunderstanding. But damn, good to know the craft beer community is condemning people so quickly over such little, one-sided information.

And no I didn't take any previous post down, it was taken down due to off topic discussions by other people. And no I haven't been hiding or dodging people who are talking shit, I literally just saw people 'calling me out' on here 10 min ago. I'd be more than willing to make it up to whoever was offended by this. Just bizarre that I haven't talked to anyone of you guys and so quick to condem me. Like I said, easily could've been handled one on one and I said I'd go through with the discussed previous trade, just was asking for more clarification. Sorry for the miscommunication.

What was the "miscommunication"? Not sure I see miscommunication here ...
