I am trying to picture this in my head, and have to ask ... how?

Received a double box, where the guy spray foamed in between the outer and inner box. It was SOLID!

I once wrapped bottles in bubble wrap and then put them into old heavy winter wool socks. I warned the guy before I sent it. Yes, they were clean.

Never thought to use them because I get so many supplies at work, awesome idea though!

I got a box with a taped up cup of loose screws when I first started trading. Couldn't figure out what the heck it was for until several weeks later when people were discussing masking sloshing sound.

More recently, when trying to reuse a box I found a Bruery Hoarders Society 2014 membership card in it. Because it was a box from many trades ago and I've already removed a label, I couldn't figure out who it was. The name on the card wasn't of any of the people I traded with so it must've been from another trade. I'm assuming that it's a card that can be replaced easily.

You sure it wasn't an extra? Maybe Michael Jackson once wore that t-shirt?

Hahaha...I think you ended up sending that box to me. I was like...wow! Crazy packing job.

Chicken McNugget wrappers were used. Not once, not twice, but on 3 different shipments that I received. So, I sent him this nice extra to say thanks. And yes, I bubble wrapped them together

I haven't used it yet (I'm a newby trader/BIF'er who has only shipped once), but have an old egg crate mattress pad that I plan on cutting up to use to cushion the bottom and maybe sides (in addition to paper or peanuts).

The box from Florida that I got a DB Huna in was about 10 times bigger than it needed to be, im talking about like waist high tall and just about as wide. The trader sent me 6-8 CCB cans as extras and they were loose in the box and the two bombers were in the Styrofoam shippers but all were loose floating around in a sea of shipping peanuts. Thought it was kinda weird..

It's probably awesome insulation in cold/hot weather.

Yeah, I'm thinking a 4 bottle styro shipper in a slightly oversized box. Spray the gunk all around and bam - got a reusable growler shipper. And like you say, probably great all year round.

That's interesting. Spray foam is what like 3 bucks...you can do a couple boxes at once I imagine right and it doesn't weigh much...box in box this would be great I imagine.

Right. I've lined the inner box with peanuts before, but spray foam just seems genius. Gonna call from some durable boxes though.

Why so ? (assuming you meant for instead of from)

I don't think the box would have to be super durable? you just spray some on the bottom, put the second box on top before it hardens (or do you wait until it hardens? I imagine if you wait it expands then you can't fit the box in unless you trim it) then when the second box is in you just spray around the space and it will expand and harden....shouldn't hurt either box ? Right?

I really want to try this, but with the next box I am sending there are some irreplaceable in it, so I don't know if I want to try it with said box as my first time....

    yes, for, not from.

At the end of the day, cardboard is just paper. My concern is about the bond itself, but it'll probably be fine.

I'll try it in a couple weeks and post pics here.
