    Saw Pantera live in Brisbane in 1992. We took one look at the pit and sat down and watched from a safe distance. Didn't want any part of that insanity.

    To all those who think this beer has lost something: I don't get it, I really don't. This is still unbelievably delicious. Still my only perfect 5.0s across the board, too...and I'm an East coast guy!

    @ThreeTens @BILF As long as we're reminiscing over Pantera...I saw them in 1997 in Florida, on the first nation-wide OzzFest tour. They came out right after the rain; the pits were a complete mud-fest. I'm tiny, and while I love a good, energetic pit, that looked like suicide. I had way more fun in the pits for Machine Head. Man, what an incredible line-up: Type O Negative (RIP Peter, INB4 @Shroud0fdoom :wink:), Fear Factory (RIP being a good band), Machine Head (before they got all nü-metal-core, and way before they got awesome again), etc. (I always remember SOAD being second stage, but that was the next year).

    I know, post-Dime (RIP), it's blasphemy to say that Machine Head put on a better show than Pantera.....but they did. They were phenomenal.

    It's quite possibly my first legit "selfie." I hate Facebook; I hate modern "Look at me culture!" But I had a perfect mix of exhaustion, lack of give-a-fuck, and enjoying a beer straight from the can to come together in a rare moment. It'll probably never happen again. :sunglasses:
