I am looking into starting a craft beer distribution company help the rapidly growing craft beer industry. I've done plenty of research, but wanted to ask for advice. I don't want to ask specific questions to allow for things that I haven't thought about (This may not be the right way to do it, let me know if y'all think I should be asking more specific questions). Appreciate any input!

    Cheers!

Yes, don't look to a beer forum on advice on how to start a business. We drink beer. We don't distribute it. Or maybe some do, but either way, I would guess that you should start by understanding what it takes to become a distributor, what your competition is, and what it is you could offer that a startup would consider you over an established distributor.

While there are people from aspects of the industry here on BA, you'll probably be better served by asking your questions over at probrewer.com. Good luck, from what I've heard of Texas' alcohol laws, you'll need it.

Thank you to both of y'all. I understand this forum's for beer drinkers, but I've received a lot of good information on here, so I thought I'd give it a go. I've been on probrewer.com, great site. Appreciate the input

I don't think any NJ craft breweries distribute in TX . So come on up and sign a few (or all of them) up.

Don't. Costs are unreal, profit is slim.

After you pay for the beer, shipping (twice), storage, fuel, trucks, equipment, employees ect ect ect your cashing in well under 5%.
