    June 6, 2014 Update

All of this good stuff will be released 6/9

    NEW! Soma

This golden ale, brewed in collaboration with the restaurant Owen and Engine, was brewed with coconut, amchoor (dried green mangos), and jaggery (raw sugar from sugar cane and date palm tree). It's an otherworldly summer sipper. Hopped gently with grassy Hallerteau Blanc hops, this brew is a special delight.
    $10.99, 22 oz, 9% ABV

    NEW! Zombie Gnomes
GNOMELAND SECURITY REPORT: Gnome man, gnome woman is safe! There's been an outbreak of zombie gnomes, due to Gnomeo Sapien (if we're using proper bignomenclature) gene crossed with a mutant gene discovered during the Human Gegnome Project. Make gnome mistakes! Stay in your gnome sweet gnome. Put on a movie like E.T. Gnome Gnome, or witness Gnomi Malone's character development in Showgirls, and enjoy this smoked saison.
    $9.99, 25.4 oz, 8% ABV

    Something Hoppy This Way Comes
Hop up onto this sinister carney's ride, and you'll quickly realize that this IIPA packed with scoops and scoops of oaky, lemony, vanilla-rich Sorachi Ace hops, is anything but a sideshow. This batch is tasting absolutely delicious, and we can't wait to share it with you.
    $10.99, 22 oz, 10% ABV

    On the Brewing Horizon:

NEW! Brief Relief - A Red Ale with Blood Orange brewed with our friend Harebrained
NEW! Cohen's State of Kind- Wit Beer brewed with chamomile, hibiscus, and blueberries
Pipeworks Ninja vs Unicorn - Double IPA with a bunch of hops

When is the next batch of Unicorn Galaxy going to be brewed? I need that beer.

Had Kate's Weirdo Wit yesterday. It's a very nice wit. tasted great on the back patio. "Spices" are pretty subdued so don't let that thai basil fool you.

PW Instagram post earlier today shows shipment of Galaxy Hop Pellets & captioned with #galaxyunicorn. I'd expect to see a batch out there in the near future.

    Link is here.

Anyone think the recent batches of Citra was off a bit from previous ones? Also is there any plans for BA Jones Dog again?

I don't have a reference point, not having tried the recent batches, but I did not get much "Citra" from the latest batch of Citra

I dont know. It went from one of the best beers around here to just a bit rough on the last batch. I pumped it up to a lot of people, open up the spring batch and was like, seems different. Everyone else thought I was just overrating the beer. Maybe bad batch of Citra hops. Hopefully it will bounce back. It was fresh too and multiple bottles

I thought 393/94 Citra was great. Something seemed different in 406/07 -- a bit of unexpected dankness. Seemed closer to N v. U to me.

it's like a month old at this point so i'm sure it tastes like wet cardboard and rat farts

Dude, Spicoli, I had it fresh as noted before, and a month old beer should not taste like wet cardboard and rats farts, give me a break

Yes... Apparently the news hasn't spread that quickly. Sadly there was a rat fart infection in the latest batch of Citra. I'll be organizing the buy back program. BM me if you think you may have an infected bottle. I'll take it off your hands.

Most recent release of Citra tasted exactly as good as 2013 batches. It's all in your heads.

I think PW said they tried something a little different with Pipeworks Amarillo that they liked, so they were going to apply it to all the other "ninjas" going forward. If they did what they said, maybe that's what you all might be tasting? My opinion is the taste isn't quite how I remembered it, but it was still drinking mighty fine. I liked it just as good as the older batches.

I remember someone mentioned some wheat(maybe?) to mump up the abv on NvU a while back

Gerrit said wheat. i don't know that it was ABV related. I asked if it was to add body and head retention but no reply :slight_frown:

I think NvU has been as good as ever lately. Another fresh just got dropped off and I'm sure I'll be drinking one tomorrow night.

The most recent Citra was just fine. I wasn't mind blowing like my first couple were though. I'm guessing that is just me though.
