Just got another case and it looks like the distributor caught their pricing mistake. Basically doubled in price.

I must have got lucky. Just picked up two last night for cheap. I'm sure it's still around at the cheap price point if you look around. If you find it or know where it is still cheap please PM me the place and price as I would love to grab a bunch so I can share them with my buddies. Thanks in advance.

Picked up a coupe Saison Brett for $12.99. If my memory serves me well they were closer to $18 last year.

I doubt it was a pricing mistake. I think it must have been Boulevard giving us some love just like when New York got all the BCBS for $9.99 for 4/packs everywhere and really cheap 4 sisters. I think some places get cheaper beer to get the hype back that some breweries used to have and lost. Seems interesting that both breweries were both bought by the big guys before these things happened. Marketing I think.

It was definitely a pricing mistake.

On another note, there is an even better sour floating around right now in limited quantities for $9.99 per bottle. Seriously, check out the Stillwater/Westbrook collaboration Gose Gone Wild....if you can find any after I stocked up  Closest sour to Batch 60 (my favorite sour of the past year) I've found yet.

Duvel-Moortgat is family owned and does about 600k barrels a year...Boulevard was not bought by the "big guys". I'm sure it was a mistake but @TheJermis will know for sure.

And that GGW is fantastic @doner24! Just drank one and now am onto a 32oz Sucks.

My mistake looks like they do 750k plus 200k from BLVD makes them still smaller than BBC or SN

The lower pricing was definitely a distributor mistake.

Thanks for pointing out it is Duval. I keep forgetting that. I got a couple of the cheaper bottles yesterday and bought one of the ones at the right price tonight. I think I plan on buying at least half a case. Love Child is suck a good beer. Picked up a couple Saison Brett. I really love the Smokestack Series. Thank you Boulevard!!!

I love this beer, but am jealous of you guys getting it in prices/quantity where you can get a case. $19/bottle here in Iowa. I had one last night and hope to get 2-3 more, maybe 1-2 for now and one to cellar, but it's a big investment. Sours aren't cheap. $9-10 is crazy cheap for this beer. I'd surely expect cost to be higher than that.

I don't remember LC being that cheap lasy year? I paid $16.99 this year and about the same last year I believe. If I found it for $10 I would buy every bottle the store had

I agree GGW is an excellent beer but hard to put in the same category as Love Child.

As one of the brewers said above it was likely a distribution mistake.

What do you mean, same category style wise? Or same category quality wise? If it is quality wise you mean, IMO you are way off. I've crushed a bottle of both with friends each of the last 3 nights. Both are excellent beers, but GGW was the winner for all of us. When a sour reminds me of CS Batch 60 and Beat, it is doing something right in a big way.

Yah there may still be some cheep bottles hanging around but I think they got rid of the cheap LC if they are aware. I did get a couple for $8.99 yesterday but I paid $18.99 tonight for a bottle. Think most of the prices went up.
