I've seen this the last week from different people

bcbvs + prop (in slightly larger trade)
    1:1 Hommage
    3:1 Lou Pepes
1:1 DDG vintage (in larger trade)

Thinking of putting up a SHBRL for a BA Abraxas & Remy's Pappy - 1:2.
Does this sound reasonable? Hate to part with the SH, but I'd really like to land these 2 at once if possible.

From what I've seen, I think you'd be selling your SHBRL short. However, I do have BA Abraxas...

If you search past trades/offers, you can get a better idea of what it goes for.

Yeah, you would be offering way too much in my opinion... could get those bottles by giving up a lot less

Any idea on an Atrial combo for BA Abraxas? I'm looking to see if there's actually any possible way I can land it before setting myself up for disappointment.

Might have access to Nocturn too if it doesn't run out by the time I get up to JK.

I've seen the JK fruited sours go 3:1 for loons (LPs and Fou), so at a guess I would think 4 or 5 to 1 for BA Abraxas would entice the right set of eyes. But I'm an idiot, so take that for what it's worth.

Thanks, that's cool. Hopefully I'll find the right trader then!

To give an idea of what won't pull one, I've heard nothing in my attempts to get a BA + regular Abraxas when offering Grey Monday, Black Tuesday, Billionaire (or Bolt Cutter), and a mixed BA six pack consisting of BBPt5, Black Note, and KBS. Its a ridiculously tough pull right now, although quantity deals such as mine are always somewhat difficult to work out.

The problem with trading RS beers is that a lot of tasting groups have a token RS/HS member, or even split a membership. Even though they don't distribute, they basically do. They will absolutely trade, but IMHO they rarely trade for beers of equal quality. I joined the RS so that I wouldn't have to trade for those beers.

I really feel like it's all about finding the right person. I honestly went with the here's my cellar approach, pick what you want. I ended up with 2x Saison du Fermier and a BA Abraxas. I traded a Saison Bernice, Adjunct Professor and all three Lavery IFA variants. I also tossed in some shel Lavery & Voodoo. Not everyone is out to win trades, sometimes you just have to find the right person that has multiples and wants to try something new

After drinking some last night at Perennial, I can definitely say it lives up to the hype. I preferred the BA Abraxas to any of the Huna variants or Mexican Cake Variants. The only chili stout I would say I like more would be the Grande Negro Voodoo Papi that was draft only at the fist Voodoo release. That was the batch they used ghost peppers in

Maybe this just demonstrates my stubbornness/cynicism, but I would gladly offer 4-5 for a BA Abraxas if the other party was willing to add solid beers to make up some $4$. But with the way things appear these days, I doubt there are many who would be willing to do that. Because then how do you profit?

That Grande Negro on draft at the first release was magic. Wish Voodooo had bottled that exact version. I would still take BA Abraxas over it, but only slightly.

Totally totally agree... However TX is big, and proportionally speaking very few people have access to that many Atrial to just trade away. And I'm all about hooking someone up too, its just that 4-5 Atrial is gonna equal $64-$80 worth of quality brew.... And like ya said, how do you profit?

I get what you're saying about proportionally, but IF you live within a 2-hr drive of JK (to me, that's not unreasonable for a Saturday afternoon trip), Atrial will likely be available at the brewery for...3? 4 weeks? I'm guessing, I don't know, I've just heard that's likely from other TX folks. BA Abraxas is a MUCH harder beer to come by (even fewer people can get it than AR, proportionally), and carries more than twice the pricetag. A minimum of 4 Atrial seems completely fair to me, and any trader worth his salt will pack that box with extras to even out the $$$ & ounces being swapped.

No you're right, even as @drummermattie02 said 4-5 Atrial is something he'd consider as well, I guess I'm thinking selfishly because I'm not anywhere close to JK and trading away that many for me would be my allotment + that of my mule's. That being said, Atrial is not rare it's just highly sought, whereas BA Abra is rare and highly sought.
