One of my favorite beer equations:

Clown Shoes beer + Barrel Aging = must try.

Their artwork has been awesome! I suppose I should drink Very Angry soon.

Color me excited. Clown Shoes has one of the best barrel programs in the north east, if not the country, its too bad they aren't taken as seriously as they should be.

Well, there's definitely been a (deserved) groundswell of appreciation here on BA. I don't think it's just because of their sierranevadabill-esque responding to posts either. Speaking for myself at least, widely released, reasonably priced barrel aged beers that deliver flavors you can't get from beers twice as rare and expensive, this gets you noticed. Galactica and clementine are amazing too.

Honestly I'm starting to feel self conscious when i post about them because my praise is getting too effusive for my liking. But they keep doing awesome things.

Haven't gotten a chance to try Billionaire yet (although I have a feeling I'll find a place that still has it on the shelves, somewhere), but Very Angry Beast was the first Barrel aged stout I ever had and remains a favorite of mine today. The bourbon flavor was really pronounced, and I loved that. Can't wait to try Extremely Angry Beast!

Don't worry...I'm right behind you with praise. Haven't been disappointed by anything I've tried from them:rolling_eyes:

Really impressed by Clown Shoes. Love the brews, especially "Hammer of the Holy". Love the way they handled the whole "V****** Slayer" fiasco by releasing "Undead Party Crasher". Clown Shoes is relatively new to Ohio. Love how they dealt with the lame-ass 12% ABV cap by releasing a special version of "Blaecorn Unidragon" (normally 12.5%ABV) called "Ohio Unidragon" (11.5%ABV) so that Ohioans wouldn't miss out. Keep up the great work Clown Shoes!

Disappointed that I haven't had a chance to try "Very Angry Beast" or "Billionaire", but I'm gonna try like hell to get some "Extremely Angry Beast"!

That has seriously got to be one of the coolest moves by a brewery ever.

Hopefully that 12% cap will be gone soon. Not sure the status of that bill. Of course I remember when we cheered getting up to 12%!

Seems like double barrel is the thing lately. Not complaining. Very Angry Beast is an awesome, underrated beer. ISO!

I've been super impressed with Clown Shoes' big beers. Just had Blaecorn Unidragon yesterday for the first time, and it was delicious. Billionaire is awesome, as well. Bombay Berserker was quite tasty, and Genghis Pecan wasn't bad for what it was.

I've got 2 Vampire Slayers in the cellar; don't want to crack them open because of the name change.

Awesome label, but is it going to be any good?

Badass label? Check. 12% (so us in Ohio don't screwed out of more awesome beer)? Check. Two bourbon barrel-aged beers and one rum barrel-aged beer? Triple check.

Can I just sign over my next paycheck to Clown Shoes in anticipation of this beer?

Mmmm you can never have enough bourbon barrel-aged Wee Heavy/Scotch Ales in my opinion. Backwoods Bastard and Wulver are things of beauty.

I definitely don't think that Clown Shoes gets enough credit for what they provide the craft beer community. Their BA program is one of the most underrated around Luchador en Fuego and Very Angry Beast, are stellar brews. Billionaire everyone and their mother are trying to get, so that's got to tell you something. The Undead Party Crasher is a GREAT beer with a kick ass label. Glad they took that whole "Twilight Slayer" garbage and flipped the script.

I look forward to them continuing to produce beers that we can all love and enjoy with each other.
