I have been trying to get into the style recently and the only barley wine I have enjoyed was Big Foot. Is there any other suggestions?

When it comes around next year (I think?) Bourbon County Barleywine is really great in a 12oz format.

If you like hoppy barleywines, Victory old horizontal is a great choice. It used to come in 12oz bottles, but now 22oz. In PA it's about 7 or 8 bucks a bottle.

I'm guessing you are limiting this to 12oz format to minimize waste if you don't like it or cost or both but I feel like you will be missing out on some great beers if you only try 12oz offerings.

None of which are 12 oz. Do not pass go, do not collect $200 dollars.

Blithering Idiot -- the non-barrel aged version of Insanity -- is good, too!

Though really the right answer to any barleywine question is -- get FW's Sucaba/Abacus regardless of size.

Local Option's Top Fuel is a solid choice in a 12oz.

Clown Shoes Crunkle Sam. Never tried it, but since you're in MA it's local. I don't know if Duck Rabbit distributes up there, but they also have a barleywine in six packs. 21st Amendment has Lower De Boom in 4 packs (I think they might be 8oz cans).
