What is the best beer(s) in every state?

If I could pick three beers from Michigan, I'd take: Two Hearted, Bourbon Barrel Plead the Fifth, & Kuhnhenn BBBW.

 

Best all around everyday product for Florida in my opinion is Jai Alai from Cigar City.

 

I'm not familiar with the Southwestern part of Ohio, but if you want a sampling of the best that the northern half of Ohio has to offer, I'd choose:

Wulver - Thirsty Dog
White Rajah - The Brew Kettle
Bodhi - Columbus Brewing
Head Hunter - Fat Heads
Barrel Aged BORIS - Hoppin' Frog
Peanut Butter Cup Coffee Porter - Willoughby Brewing Company

Each of these are available on a consistent basis. If you try each of these and don't think that Ohio is in the top three best states for craft beer in the country, then you are certainly entitled to that opinion

FireFly(growlers and brewery only): Toadstool Oat Stout, Coneflakes Double Ipa

 

If Narragansett was actually brewed in Rhode Island then I'd say our best beer is Narragansett Bohemian Pils, but since very little of their brewing actually happens here I'm going with Foolproof's Raincloud (Robust Porter).

 

I'm worried I'm going to start sounding like the kind of fan boy I've always laughed at, but Other Half Hop Showers is probably the best beer brewed in NY in my opinion.

If we can include beers no longer brewed, I'd throw Ithaca Brute in there.

 

Virginia - Resolute

 

Wicked Weed - Freak Of Nature IPA and their sours are probably the best in the state
NoDa - Hop Drop and Roll
Foothills - Jade IPA and their Barrel Aged Sexual Chocolate Stout
Olde Hickory - Event Horizon and Lindley Park
Appalachian Mountain Brewing - Black Gold Porter, Longleaf IPA and Say Hops Again Black IPA

 

Seeing as I haven't drank every beer brewed in my state, I'll answer with the Wisconsin beer that I've drank the most of, and won't hesitate to order if it's on tap:

Lake Louie Warped Speed Scotch Ale - I'm sure there are better ones, and there are alot that I still need to try (looking at you Karben4...) but I loves me some Warped Speed.

 

The best beer in WI is NOT what everyone outside WI thinks the best beer is (take your pick of the NG sours). I'm happy though, to keep providing you with these in the interest of obtaining the best beers in YOUR state
Best beer in WI is Central Waters BB barley wine. Hands down. If you like BW's, get your hands on some of that!
Second, would be their BB stouts, take your pick.

 

A good safe answer for Minnesota would be Surly Abrasive, but I'm sure lots of other folks have different opinions.

 

That truly depends on what styles you like.
For instance, the most award winning beer in CO is an ESB. #2 is probably a hefe-weizen. Would even 5% of CO beer geeks claim either are the "best" over a barrel aged monster or crazy DIPA?

 

I can only speak about the best beer that I have had in Iowa, but I think many people would agree with me that Toppling Goliath's PseudoSue is right at the top of the list.

 

In Vermont it's a long list...but most people know the top

I feel like this thread is going to start a lot of interesting debates....

 

Best/Iconic in my opinion are very different. Also, best is mainly opinion based but, I'll play along since I do love lists!
