Kuhnhenn Summer Solstice

Since you're here, is new stuff being tapped at open, or is it not till the tent opens in the afternoon? Doesn't make too much of a difference, since we'll likely be there right around 11-11:30, but curious regardless.

 

I'm going to take the 3hr drive on Saturday... it will be my first time visiting the brewery!

Aside from the rare bottle limit, will I be able to purchase other bottled offerings?

 

Looks like Duval in Ms Jones is the only thing available in bottles right now (for beer at least). They usually don't have much available in bottles, but the taps should be fun. I'd imagine that they will do growler fills of the regular stuff on tap.

 

you can always hope for it, but it sucks they never release a tap list for this or the timed releases

 

dammit kuhnehnn, just post a draft list so i can decide now whether or not it'll be worth leaving work early today to come.

 

Let's see, if they release a tap list you might go later or not at all due to what the releases are. If they don't release a tap list you will probably go early because you don't want to miss out on anything. What would you do in that situation? Seems pretty obvious from a business standpoint.

 

but if they put good shit on tap (which they often do for this even) and released the tap list, i'd be tempted to get there even earlier. as it currently stands, i am not tempted to get their early based on the premise of beers they might have.

 

Or you might go later, because they dont have anything good on tap early.

 

Or they can just put good stuff on in the beginning and when it blows, it blows...Sorry, I dont believe "good" customer service is leading your customers blind...They will always have good stuff on...Dripa, Fluffer, etc. I just dont get the point of being secreative....They are one of the only breweries to do this...With all that said, Ill be there around 5 no matter what they have on cause something will be good...Hoping for Play in the Hay... Mmmmmm

 

Sorry I dont believe that every detail of every event needs to be available to me. To each their own. Just because you want it and everyone else does it, doesnt mean it is best for them. Not everyone thinks like the vocal people on BA, and that is ok. From what I have observed with kuhnhenn and releases lately, the sooner they release details the sooner people start whining and bitching.

 

"every detail" at an beer event is not a Beer List at a brewery though..Like I said, it would be nice to know, but im going anyway...Im just as happy to drink Dripa as I am some .rar beer

 

I am just ready to celebrate Summer Solstice with some friends and good beers!

Did not see a price for the Solstice Stout, assuming its around the same as BBBW/BB4D.

The firkin right now is Sexual Chocolate Cherry Stout... Can't get em to tell me what the next firkin will be once this blows.
Firkin is inside, while all the other specials are out the back door in the tent.

 

Sexual chocolate? Mayan stout? those sound familiar...

 

Do they still have bbbw on?

 

BBBW, KBE and KRE all at once for me. also got a taste of some BB4D. tough to beat that lineup.
