True, but would be nice to be able to just buy it all at once.

Considering how much Soroboruo is likely sitting around, it wouldn't surprise me.

I really need a sweater with all these cold remarks...

Soroborou was at a different price point from Couverteur but stranger things have happened.

Expect to see "exclusive" blends of Smoking Wood and Soroboruo soon.

I'm not gonna lie, I'd try it. It could be one of those situations where the finished product is better than its parts. Or maybe they'll try souring Smoking Wood.

Im not trying to change it...I'm all for what they are doing. I own a business. Sometimes shit happens. When it does, I make it right. Do I try and screw things up? Absolutely not. I can guarantee you the last thing they want to happen is for some sort of infection. Its a big money loss and it also gets people (obviously) amped up.

What would you like them to do? Give you free beer? Its a business and its not going to happen. They are going to give you your money back. In my eyes, that's fine. Maybe not in yours. Maybe if you were a businessman, you'd understand.

If you don't like how they are handling this situation, I urge you (whether you are a fan or not) to move on and give your money to a 'better brewery' so that someone else can take your spot, that way you're not subjected to such shoddy quality control.

And by the way, I was commenting on how I was impressed that they sent out the email regarding the situation, not just the refund. I drank my Couverteur last night and thought it was awful and was going to contact them this weekend, but didn't have to because they already said they were going to make it right.

I'm a partner in a business - I fully understand. But thanks for trying to patronize me, it's really cute when people who don't know what they're talking about try to gain the upper ground via passive aggression and patronization. Since you'd rather respond to things I'm not saying than the points i'm actually making, it's safe to say that responding to anything else you've said would be a waste of time.

I'm going to treat these like double-struck coins. In fifty years, I'm going to cash in!

I'm pretty bummed about Soroboruo, I was really looking forward to trying another local Scotch ale. I bought one bottle just to try it but was disappointed when it was announced that it was sour.

But on a nicer note I just want to give props to Matt at the Society desk, the guy is always friendly and super helpful during pickups @PMR @mattolesh

They should try using these ingredients...water, barley, hops, yeast.

I'm really bummed. Belgian dubbels are one of my favorite styles and this sounded really great to me.

As a first year RS member, I have to say that this year has been a mixed bag. On the one hand: yay! Grey Monday and Chocolate Rain and Sucre variants and (intentional) sours! On the other hand: I better drink this RdF quick and cross my fingers about every other release that comes out. At this point, I really don't think I'll be re-upping next year

As a HS member, I'm stating to doubt I'll renew next year. I'd rather just trade for the few bottles I want than pay for access to a bunch of beer I won't even see due to infection.

You're telling me that in five days it went from you had no idea to a recall? I really haven't thought much about your other infections but this rubs me the wrong way because it seems very suspect that you had no idea five days ago. I imagine that a refund costs you guys tons of money so it's hard to think you'd make the decision to take that financial hit just five days after knowing nothing of the issue. It's nothing personal but if you're going to go on a public forum to discuss the issue then I think you should be open to criticism on that forum as well.

Doesn't seem that weird to me. Why would they re-test it if there was no reason to?
